A winning personality is the physical attribute of a person and is considered as his or her success in personal, academic, and professional careers. However, in the ESL context, most engineering students seem to be unaware of the need for and importance of an appealing personality for achieving success in both personal and professional careers. Although students are given a short-term training in soft-skills by their respective college or institute, engineering students seem to lack aspects of a pleasing personality which helps them in job placements and later in the work environment. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to understand and build engineering students’ personality traits such as enthusiasm, dependability, and teamwork for a successful career. For this purpose, to understand the students’ personality types, 25 engineering students were administered a pre-test based on Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typological approach to personality. Students were helped in building personality through the soft-skills training. The data was analyzed and interpreted both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicated that having a pleasing personality and exhibiting soft-skills enables in building students’ individual personality for employment readiness. Implications were offered to students, placement trainers, and teachers. It is concluded that having a charming personality will support students in landing their desired jobs.

This study aims to describe the mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of students personality types of grade VIII at MTs Al-Ma’arif NU Qamarul Huda Narmada academic year 2020/2021. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used saturated sampling and each 2 students were selected to represent each personality types. The data collection technique used are personality type questionnaires, mathematical problem solving ability tests, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis that are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The result of this study are students with introvert and extrovert personality types are not able to write down the stage of understanding the problem, do the stage of making a plan by writing them into mathematical form, able to write down the problem solving systemtatically but there are some errors, write the conclusion of the answer though it’s not quite right. While students with ambivert personality types are able to do the stage of understanding the problem by writing down even though it’s incomplete, write a plan for solving the problem by directly writing it into mathematical form, are able to write the solution of the problem according to the plan even though there are some missteps, re-examine and write down the conclusion even though there are error in the results.

Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings Support is found for coherence between managerial practice and the theorized cognitive processes and for coherence between the way in which the instrument measures the personality types and the theorized cognitive processes. Originality/value The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers’ hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.

This study aims to describe the ability of spatial geometry of class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Jember in terms of David Keirsey's personality type. Spatial ability in this study is the ability to understand the world of space based on elements of spatial abilities which include: spatial perception, mental rotation, and spatial visualization. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data collection method in this research is questionnaire, spatial test, and interview. Then, based on the results of the test and interview analysis, it was found that the Guardian students could fulfill all spatial indicators. Artisan students in imagining and rotating spaces can think quickly and answer questions correctly, compared to guardian and idealistic students. Idealistic students in the ability to see the surface of the unit cubic structure more than the point of view (from the front, right side, and top) cannot describe it precisely. Meanwhile, rational students on the mental rotation element for the first indicator are still unable to rotate a spatial shape and can imagine the rotation or rotation of a spatial shape accurately.

This study aims to describe the student’s mathematical communication profile in solving geometry questions based on David Keirsey's personality type. The subjects of this study were 8 students of class VIII F SMPN 11 Jember which consisted of 2 students in each personality types, namely artisan, idealist, guardian, and rational. Students are given a personality type questionnaire, then test questions about the geometries, and followed by interviews. This type of research is called qualitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that students with the artisan personality type tend to show symbolic communication, then logical communication, and finally verbal communication in solving problems. Students with idealistic personality types tend to show symbolic communication and verbal communication in solving problems. Students with the guardian personality type tend to show logical communication and symbolic communication in solving problems. Students with rational personality types tend to show logical communication, then symbolic communication, and finally verbal communication in solving problems.

Purpose: The purpose of this research paper is to find out if personality traits have any influence on the level and type of participation in online communities. Aim: The aim of this paper is to find out if the small number of active participants in online communities are dominated by a particular personality trait, and if personality traits influence how much and what type of participation an individual undertakes in online communities. Method: An online survey was used to gather both participation types and levels and to measure personality, using the Big Five Inventory, 44 item tool. Findings: Personality does have an influence on what type of participation individuals undertake in online communities. Individuals displaying high in extraversion traits are less likely to be active in online communities but when they do they identify with a sense of friendship. Individuals displaying high in neurotic traits are less likely to be active in online communities but when they do they are motivated by a sense of belonging. Individuals high in conscientiousness traits are more likely to be motivated to participate by sharing useful information. Individuals high in a combination of conscientiousness and agreeable traits were motivated to participate to share useful information. There was no evidence to suggest that those that do participate are dominated by a particular personality type. What was evident was that individuals high in certain personality traits are less likely to participate in certain content activity. This means that communities that engage in specific content type or activity may be skewed to particular personality types. More in- depth research would be required on one type of community in order to investigate this further.
