Experiments have been carried out on determining the value of the moment of inertia of a hollow cylinder. This study aims to analyze the value of the moment of inertia with variations in the radius of the hollow cylinder using the Phyphox Application (Physical Phone Experiment). This research is experimental. The tools and material used area 1-meter longboard, three hollow cylinders with different radius sizes but the same mass, smartphone, laptop, caliper, and balance. The experiment of rolling motion on a hollow cylinder on an inclined plane is assisted by data processing in a Phyphoxapplication. From the experiment, the result of the moment of inertia value from data processing is 4.89 x 10-4kg.m2, 9.82 x 10-4kg.m2, 12.4 x10-4kg.m2. This research can be used as a teacher reference in teaching the topic of moments of inertia in physics learning at school. This is highly recommended for distance learning during the pandemic so that mastery of concepts is maximized. Further research is suggested that it can be tried to use other materials with other types of rigid bodies to find the moment of inertia. Further references on digital application media to assist learning are also needed considering the dynamic development of technology.

Research has been conducted using the gravity method in the Wai Selabung area, South Ogan Kemiring Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province, correlated with geological data, magnetotellurics, and geochemical data. This research aims to get structural patterns, subsurface models and identify the heat source and reservoir areas of the Wai Selabung geothermal system. This study uses the gravity method to model the subsurface, which is correlated with magnetotelluric and geochemical data to identify reservoir prospect areas. The results obtained from this research include residual anomalies in the research area showing the presence of a northwest-southeast trending fault structure by the main fault structure of this area trending northwest-southeast and slightly southwest-northeast. Analysis of the Second Vertical Derivative value of zero indicates the boundaries of the geothermal reservoir in the middle of the research area.  The results of the 3D inversion modeling of the research area show that low density (2 to 2.15 g/cm3) indicates the location of the reservoir, medium-density values (2.2 to 2.4 g/cm3) are tertiary sandstone sedimentary. The high-density distribution value (2.5 to 2.9 g/cm3) indicates a potential heat source. And based on the analysis of the gravity method correlated with geological data, magnetotelluric, and geochemical data, the prospect area for the Wai Selabung geothermal reservoir, is around Teluk Agung, Perekan, and Talang Tebat.

This research investigates the transformation of the seventh-grade students' mental representations of the rectilinear propagation of light. The researcher employed the quasi-experimental method on two groups of students aged 12-13 years. The survey involved 102 students who were divided into two equal groups determined by the stratified sampling technique. The first group participated in a didactic intervention based on the students' representations. The second group of students participated in a traditional school teaching. The Mann–Whitney U test was utilized for calculating the significance of the data. The statistical analysis showed that the pretest and the posttest progress was statistically significant for the first group. It resulted in the mental constitution of a representation that is compatible with the scientific model. The research results allow the design of effective interventions for the teaching of light propagation and geometric optics in general.

In this study, the researchers measured cicadas' sound waves, considering that cicadas are mostly found in rural areas. The intensity level meter (AMTAST AMF003) was used with time variations (9:00 JST; 12:00 JST; and 15:00 JST). Measurements of air temperature differences (Krisbow Temperature Humidity Data Logger) were also carried out, and weather conditions were also considered in data collection using satellite data from Himawari, Japan. The interpretation results of intensity level's trend measured at 3:00 pm JST were decreased concerning the changes in days. Meanwhile, the measurement at 09:00 am and 12:00 pm JST did not show a decrement concerning the changes in days (31 days in total). These results show that temperature changes (towards autumn) can affect the intensity level of sound waves. In addition, slightly different intensity levels can affect large changes in acoustic power or the produced sound.

This research was conducted to analyze the Mg doping concentration effect on the structure, morphology, and optical properties of ZnO thin film prepared using the sol gel spin coating method. The Mg concentration was varied in the mole fraction of 1%, 3%, and 5%. Firstly, ZnO: Mg solution was dropped on a substrate and grown with a rotating speed of 3000 rpm and then annealed at 500 °C for 2 hours. The characterization of thin films' structure, morphology, and optical properties was done using XRD, FESEM, EDX, and UV-VIS spectrophotometer. XRD result showed a polycrystalline structure with three dominant peaks of (100), (002), and (101) plane, hexagonal wurtzite structures. Furthermore, the crystallite size was increased with the increase of Mg doping. FESEM results showed that the 5% ZnO: Mg thin film was the densest and least void from other films. In addition, the results of UV-Vis-NIR analysis showed the highest absorption value at a wavelength of 360-370 nm. The bandgap energy increased at 1% and 3% Mg doping samples but decreased by 5% Mg doping comes from the excess of oxygen in thin film with 5% Mg doping.

The electrospinning method has been used successfully to make polyvinylpyrrolidone nanofiber containing Anredera cordifolia leaves (BLE). The research methods used were qualitative and pure experiment method. Polyvinilpirolidone nanofibers containing BLE were prepared with three mass variations of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (% w/w), namely 12%, 10%, and 8% w/w, respectively. The results of the macroscopic photo show that the fiber structure looks white for PVP nanofibers and yellow for PVP/BLE nanofibers. The fiber morphology was analyzed using SEM and the results showed that PVP and all PVP/BLE nanofibers were like a continuous strand of crossbars with a diameter of 590 – 1190 nm. The decrease in the concentration of the PVP polymer led to a reduction in the diameter of the resulting nanofibers. The coefficients of variance (ε), of the PVP, BLE1, BLE2, and BLE3 nanofibers were 0.06, 0.09, 0.11, and 1.22, respectively. The physicochemical structure of the nanofibers was evaluated using XRD and FTIR. The chemical analysis (FTIR) showed that there was a molecular interaction between Anredera cordifolia leaves extract and polyvinylpyrrolidone in the form of hydrogen bonds. The physics analysis (XRD) shows the effect of the electrospinning process, which is to change the structure of BLE crystals to semi crystals. The application of PVP/BLE nanofiber for wounds dressing

Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) is presented as derived from a scientific approach where students are invited to work in the way scientists work.  Studying the proximity between IBSE and scientific approach can be done through different perspectives; the focus here is on the scientific approach. The goal of this case study consists in exploring the ways in which scientists perform their research by interviewing 8 French physicists volunteers to participate in the study. This preliminary research is the first step   to analyze the contemporary physicists’ through research practices, and then to enrich and question IBSE in a different way. The interviews are analyzed in terms of moments, specifically a moment called “to explore/to experiment” with the ck¢ (conception, knowing, concept)framework allowing to model the conceptions of researchers. The results only show two common operators (R) related to the moment “to explore/ to experiment” concerning the research processes of the 8 physicists. However, zero control structures (∑) are common to any of them.
