With the characteristic of line loss volatility, a research of line loss rate prediction was imperatively carried out. Considering the optimization ability of heuristic algorithm and the regression ability of support vector machine, a heuristic algorithm-support vector machine model is constructed. Case study shows that, compared with other heuristic algorithms’, the search efficiency and speed of genetic algorithm are good, and the prediction model is with high accuracy.

Smart Grid framework to achieve clean energy friendly access, to achieve energy conservation and reduction of environmental pollution, is to build the smart grid hallmark. Photovoltaic power plants grid, although to bring some impact on the grid, but also a certain role in promoting on the line loss rate decreased. This ignores the impact of other factors, only from the perspective satisfy voltage constraints, analyzing PV power plant different grid location and grid capacity for line loss rate.

A hybrid model is proposed which is a combination of MLRM (Multiple Linear Regression Model) and GM (Gray Prediction Model). The paper conducts a line loss rate forecast of the grid, and develops a kind of forecasting software for the line loss managers of grid enterprises to realize the analysis and forecast of factors which impact the daily loss line rate. Finally, do simulation examples with line loss rate data of a city using the software. The results demonstrate that the models selected in the software have good feasibility in line loss rate forecasting, and can overcome the adverse effects of factors on the model, improve the accuracy of prediction and provide the basis for the scientific and reasonable loss reduction plan.
