The Koshelev geothermal system is located in the southern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula. On the surface, the system manifests itself by steam-hydrotherms at two thermal fields. Estimates of the predicted power from different data sources vary significantly, because the parameters of the coolant at great depths are not currently known and are presumable. Based on the available geological and geophysical data, a numerical threedimensional thermo-hydrodynamic model of the geothermal system has been developed. The model was calibrated according to thermometry data in exploratory wells. The calibrated model adequately describes the distribution of thermo-hydrodynamic parameters of the coolant in the system. It can be used to evaluate the coolant parameters during the development of the thermal resources of the Koshelev geothermal system. In the course of computational experiments, the developed model is used to obtain the distribution of the thermo-hydrodynamic parameters of the hydrothermal coolant in the geothermal system in the natural state and during the development of thermal resources.

This paper describes hydrodynamic model tests of Wing in Surface Effect (WiSE) Craft. These craft  was fitted with  stephull  form in different location on longitudinal flat bottom (stepedhull planning craft) to determine the influences of sticking and porpoising motion performances. These motions are usually occured when the craft start to take-off from water surfaces. The test models with scale of 1 : 7 were comprised of 4 (four) stephull models and 1 (one) non-stephull model  as a comparative study. The hydrodynamic  tests were performed with craft speed of 16 – 32 knots (prototype values) in Towing Tank at UPT. Balai Pengkajian dan Penelitian Hidrodinamika (BPPH), BPPT, Surabaya. The resistance (drag) was measured by dynamo meter and the trim of model (draft changing at fore and aft  of model due to model speed) was measured by trim meter. By knowing the value of model trim, the wetted surface area can be determined. Then, the lift forces were calculated based on these measured values. The model test results were presented on tables and curves.  Test results show that models  with step located far away from center of gravity of the WiSE craft tend to porpoising and sticking condition, except if the step location on the below of these center of gravity. While model without step tends to sticking conditions.

<p class="BodyA">South Manokwari Regency is a new autonomous region in West Papua Province with abundant natural resources. As a new autonomous region South Manokwari Regency will be experiencing significant population growth. Population growth along with development and modernization will give burden to electricity demand. Alternatively, electricity can be provided with geothermal resources in Momiwaren District. Based on survey conducted by the government through the Geology Resources Centre in 2009, the reservoir temperature of the geothermal sources is 84oC with non volcanic geothermal system. Thus, the geothermal resources in South Manokwari Regency could be developed into binary cycle electric generator.</p>
