Abstract Shanghai Grand Opera House, which is under construction in Shanghai, China, includes two relatively large opera halls, which are named as the large opera hall and the middle opera hall. Below the stages of these two opera halls are two deep stage pits where the mechanical equipment will be arranged after construction, therefore, the structure of these stage pits is designed to be basically hollow with only a small amount of floor slabs on the edges. For the most sections of the stage pits, the depth is 16m, and the arrangement of horizontal supports and lattice columns in the stage pits during the construction period is extremely complicated. To prevent the outer walls of the stage pits from leaking and further guarantee the quality of the structure, the unilateral support formwork, which is composed of multiple steel components as load bearing members, is applied to construct the 16m outer wall of the stage pits. In this paper, first, the specific working principle of the unilateral support formwork and numerical analysis of its construction steps are introduced. Then focus on explaining that through establishing detailed digital 3D models of the complex stage pits during construction period, the practical construction sequence and construction technologies are designed and formulated, meanwhile, the on-site staff can also be guided directly through digital 3D models, which guarantee the visualization of the complex technology and the convenience of on-site construction as well. The construction of the deep stage pits is currently in progress, and part of the outer wall has already been constructed successfully. The cost of the technology is certainly more than common construction methods, but it is still acceptable since most of the formwork members can be recycled and re-use, while the advantages are obvious. Finally, the main characteristics of the construction technology of the unilateral support formwork for 16m-high concrete outer wall is summarized and discussed, which can provide a reference for the construction of similar structures.

t is easy to cause the Yangtze River embankment soil of slip even collapse to have a deep foundation pit construction adjacent to the Yangtze River outsideembankment,there are a lot of risk. In this paper, a new combining technique of construction for large caisson is presented. Based on the construction environment, theconstructiontechnology,the smaller earthwork excavation of deep high pressure rotary jet grouting pile with undrained caisson combined construction technology combined with monitoring data for the open caisson excavation control is adopted. It has achieved relatively good results and summarized the advantages of deep high pressure rotary jet grouting pile with undrained caisson combined construction technology in engineering application owing the reference value for engineering applications.

One deep foundation pit in Hefei urban rail transit project is adjacent to the existed expressway subgrade, it's in the unsymmetrical loaded state. The control of foundation pit deformation and the safety of subgrade must be strictly ensured. Based on it, the design scheme of supporting system, the construction processes of earth excavation, top beam, concrete support and steel support was introduced. The horizontal displacement of fender piles and the settlement of subgrade was monitored. The field monitoring results indicate, there exists a great difference between the retaining structure deformation under the action of unsymmetrical load and the deformation under the action of symmetrical load, the horizontal displacement of fender piles on the side of subgrade is bigger than the other side, the upper pile appears to be a "drift" towards the lower-load side; although the absolute value of horizontal displacement of fender piles and settlement of subgrade seems to be a big number, the relative value is small compared to the whole length of fender pile and expressway, meeting relevant standard requirements. The deep foundation pit and expressway kept safe and stable in the all periods of construction, no one accident was occurred during that time. Thus, it can be seen that this construction technology is effective in controlling the deformation during excavation, which can provide a reference for similar projects in design and construction in the future.

This study mainly summarizes the advantages of deep high pressure jet grouting pile combined with undrained caisson combined construction technology engineering application, and describes the process of the combined construction and measures of deviation correction.The new combining construction technique has made a relatively effective protection for the Yangtze River levee and its ecological environment,having great engineering application value to some similar engineering.

As the population growth and land resources declining, high-rise building project is increasingly common in the construction work. Through in-depth thinking and active exploration, specific attention to matters of deep foundation pit and pile foundation construction technique, which is the key construction techniques in the high-rise building project, was summarized in this article. It suggests to make a careful and detailed geological survey, and then choose the right design program and develop a reliable construction plans. This scheme was proved to be a useful reference and guidance for the development of high-rise building construction technology.
