Abstract Allvac 13-8 has good fabricability and can be age hardened by a single treatment in the range 510-620 deg C (950-1150 deg F). Cold working prior to aging enhances the aging. This martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel has very good resistance to general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. It develops very high strength and exhibits good transverse ductility and toughness in heavy sections. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-866. Abstract Allegheny Stainless Type 205 is a chromium-manganese nitrogen austenitic high strength stainless steel that maintains its low magnetic permeability even after large amounts of cold working. Annealed Type 205 has higher mechanical properties than any of the conventional austenitic steels-and for any given strength level, the ductility of Type 205 is comparable to that of Type 301. Abstract Remanit 4306 is a low-carbon chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that is superior in corrosion resistance to type 302 (see Alloy Digest SS-99, revised September 1998). Due to its low carbon content, Remanit 4306 is intergranular corrosion resistant under continuous operating conditions up to 350 C (652 F). This grade is particular suitable for high degrees of cold working and for sequential drawing. Constant strain-rate plastic straining followed by creep tests were conducted to investigate the effect of prior plastic straining on the subsequent creep behavior of 304 stainless steel at room temperature. The effects of plastic strain and plastic strain-rate were delineated by a specially designed test procedure, and it is found that both factors have a strong influence on the subsequent creep deformation. A creep model combining the two factors is then developed. The predictions of the model are in good agreement with the test results.

17-7PH stainless steel is high age-hardening property due to precipitate NiAl intermetallics by aging heat treatment after the deformation induced martensitic transformation by cold working. In this study, the effect of aging conditions on stress relaxation behavior of 17-7PH stainless steel was investigated, and the mechanism of the stress relaxation was discussed. The 0.2% proof stress after aging at 753K for 180s-18ks is about 450MPa, and then decreases after 18ks. On the other hand, the stress relaxation ratio decreases by long time aging at 753K. The dislocation density of 17-7PH decreases by long time aging at 753K. The formation of NiAl clusters around 5nm by 3D-AP analysis is observed in 17-7PH aged at 753K for 1.8ks. It is suggested that the reduction of the stress relaxation ratio after long time aging at 753K is caused by NiAl clusters and decreasing mobile dislocation density.
