Based on the Landau theory of striped phases in cuprates proposed recently, we present the Landau-de Gennes theory of coupled charge-density-wave and spin-density-wave order parameters in the presence of the electronic liquid-crystal orders in cuprates. Various electronic liquid-crystal orders of striped cuprates are considered by using the Toner–Nelson formulation for two-dimensional classical liquid-crystal orders. Some related issues are briefly discussed.
