Purpose The purpose of this paper is to curate and promote students’ and lecturers’ works and creations, and to provide pleasing user experience for mobile device users when browsing the portfolio gallery information. Design/methodology/approach The design of the mobile web application using Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology includes Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams. The evaluation is done in three steps: first step by comparing similar software, the second step by evaluate the interface using the eight golden rules and the last one by taking user questionnaire. Findings Evaluation of the application of Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) Store Mobile Web. Originality/value The authors report the development of BINUS Store Mobile web application by using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) with Laravel framework and evaluate it in Android and iOS environments.

PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama is a company engaged in the field of Autoparts Manufacture. Barcode is the identity of an item / product on the package. Barcode technology has been used as the identity of goods in a production. Barcodes are used to facilitate the identification of goods produced. Paste the barcode on the packaging of packaging results at PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama is done manually, but there are often errors attached to the barcode on a similar packaging. This research will design and create a system based on Visual Basic.Net and Arduino to select barcode attachment errors that have the potential to be sent to consumers. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, database design and interface menu design. The system created will then be tested to detect the black box test. With a computing-based design system that functions to detect barcodes on the packaging automatically, the problem of sticking barcodes on the packaging can be detected.

This paper presents an overview of the Rational Unified Process. The Rational unified Process is a software engineering process, delivered through a web-enabled, searchable knowledge base. Project management skills such as WBS, Gantt Chart and PERT have been applied in many fields, but system analysts preferred UML to project tools. This chapter recommend transformation rules from project items into objects and project charts into UML diagrams, to model all project items and processes by using UML. Therefore, UML can be applied not only to system analysis and design, but also to entire project processes. Stakeholders in a project can rethink the project in terms of object orientation and communicate with system developers using the same tool as UML.

Buying and selling guitars is already popular among the general public, but guitar sales are still a lot by visiting music stores. This sales system is still a habit of people. With that, do a solution to solve the problem. The solution given is to create an e-commerce web application. By using this application is expected to simplify the sales system, data search, making it easier to create reports. This system is also equipped with item selection, so it can assist in guitar selection. Through the tests carried out, it is proven that the e-commerce web application can be used to record information about buying and selling transactions, stockpiling of goods, conducting broader promotions and marketing as well as making order transaction reports and inventory reports. The Waterfall System Development Method is used as a stage of making an application and UML (Unified Modeling Language) is used as a modeling design for the Guitar Online Sales Information System program. From the discussion and implementation of the system that has been carried out, several conclusions can be drawn, including as follows; This application can simplify the sales system at a guitar shop by providing shopping cart, search features and is equipped with a payment confirmation process as well as making it easier for the admin to record transaction reports.Keywords:Sales System, E-Commerce, Transactions.

Pada 2018 jumlah pengguna internet telah mencapai angka 171,17 juta jiwa diseluruh Indonesia yang setara dengan 64,8% dari total keseluruhan penduduk Indonesia yang berjumlah 264,16 juta jiwa, menurut riset Google yang dilaporkan oleh e-Conomy SEA pada tahun 2018 angka transaksi ekonomi digital Indonesia ditetapkan sebagai peringkat pertama di kawasan Asia Tenggara dengan kontribusi 49%. Perancangan sistem e-marketplace yang ditujukan untuk mengenalkan ciri khas dari produk betawi di Jakarta merupakan hal yang baik, sebab saat ini produk khas betawi tergolong sangat sulit ditemukan di Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan sistem yaitu Rational Unified Process atau yang biasa disingkat dengan RUP memiliki 4 fase yang terdiri dari: inception, elaboration, contruction, transition. UML (Unified Modeling Language) digunakan pada tahap analisis dan perancangan guna mempermudah pemahaman atas sistem yang dibangun, kemudian tahap pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan blackbox testing. Kata Kunci: e-marketplace, codeigniter, rational unified process, sistem informasi, unified modeling language.

Pada Balai IPTEKnet Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) terdapat sebuah prosedur untuk memanajemen keluhan mitra kerjasama. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan mitra kerjasama agar dapat menyampaikan keluhannya serta memudahkan staf Balai IPTEKnet dalam mengelola keluhan yang disampaikan oleh mitra kerjasama. Manajemen ini merupakan salah satu strategi CRM atau manajemen hubungan pelanggan yang ada di Balai IPTEKnet BPPT. Teknologi informasi memainkan peranan penting dan makin luas dalam bisnis. Mengingat berkembangnya dunia teknologi informasi dewasa ini, maka upaya yang akan dilakukan peneliti agar memudahkan pelanggan untuk berinteraksi dengan pegawai Balai IPTEKnet dalam menyampaikan keluhan dan mengefisienkan staf Balai IPTEKnet dalam memanajemen keluhan yaitu dengan membuat sebuah sistem manajemen keluhan mitra kerjasama berbasis web.Perancangan sistem dilakukan setelah data diperoleh dan analisa terhadap data yang didapat telah dilakukan. Sistem yang akan dibuat dirancang berdasarkan metode unified process dan menggunakan diagram UML (Unified Modeling Language). Dilakukan pengujian dengan menggunakan metode black box.

Information on pharmaceuticals is beneficial for patients, most patients like to read patient information leaflets for their pharmaceuticals. Nevertheless, the quality of the information written on pharmaceuticals gives space for improvement. To improve the inadequacies of patient information leaflets, an alternate approach for the provision of information on pharmaceuticals will be illustrated. This work aims to design and develop a web application that will provide pharmaceutical product leaflets information as well as the proposed web application will provide supplementary services. The proposed work was designed and developed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), SQL, XML, and ASP.Net programming languages.

El Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación de la Educación Superior establecido por la Junta de Acreditación Nacional en Cuba evalúa para los diferentes programas académicos cinco variables claves: pertinencia e impacto social, claustro, estudiantes, infraestructura y currículo. La variable claustro se enfoca en revelar toda la in formación pertinente que fundamenta la calidad del mismo, por lo que se necesita recopilar y evidenciar un volumen importante de datos e información. La presente investigación desarrollada en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Cienfuegos, posee como objetivo fundamental el desarrollo de un sistema informático para la gestión de la información relacionada con la variable claustro según los criterios establecidos por la Junta de Acreditación Nacional en su Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación. Para ello se utiliza la metodología de desarrollo de software seguida fue Rational Unified Process y el lenguaje de modelado Unified Modeling Language. Como herramienta principal se estableció: Visual Paradigm para UML 8.0 Enterprise Edition para la modelación los requerimientos. Como principal resultado se obtiene un software para gestionar toda la información del claustro de los diferentes programas académicos de la Educación Superior en Cuba. Palabras clave: sistema informático, evaluación, acreditación, educación superior.   ABSTRACT The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation System established by the National Accreditation Board in Cuba assesses five key variables for the different academic programs: relevance and social impact, faculty, students, infrastructure, and curriculum. The cloister variable focuses on revealing all the pertinent information that underpins its quality, so it is necessary to collect and evidence a significant volume of data and information. The present research developed at the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos, has as its main objective the development of a computer system for the management of information related to the cloister variable according to the criteria established by the National Accreditation Board in its Evaluation and Accreditation. For this, the software development methodology followed was Rational Unified Process and the Unified Modeling Language modeling language. The main tool was Visual Paradigm for UML 8.0 Enterprise Edition for modeling the requirements. As the main result, a software is obtained to manage all the information of the cloister of the different academic programs of Higher Education in Cuba. Abstrak Penerapan teknologi komputer dalam setiap aspek dunia perkantoran Indonesia sudah dianggap sebagai suatu kebutuhan. Belum terdapat aplikasi pengolahan data pengangguran pada Kecamatan Purowdadi yangmenggunakan aplikasi ms. word yang menyebabkan data-data tidaktersimpan dengan baik.Belum adanya aplikasi dashboard untuk mengetahui tinggi nya angka pengangguran yang ada di Kecamatan Purwodadi.Dalam mencari data pengangguran masih rendah tingkat ke akuratannya karena  menggunakan cara manual.sistem yang sedang berjalan, pemecahan masalah, kebutuhan fungsional sistem, kebutuhan non fungsional sistem, desain input dan desain output. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode Waterwall. Perancangan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). The paper deals with design of automated solution check system for regional programming contests. The requirements and constraints for such systems are found in the work. Database for contest tasks is designed. The system is constructed using object modeling and patterns concept. Unified modeling language is used for system design. UML-diagrams are shown for project classes as well as diagram for solution check process.
