El Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación de la Educación Superior establecido por la Junta de Acreditación Nacional en Cuba evalúa para los diferentes programas académicos cinco variables claves: pertinencia e impacto social, claustro, estudiantes, infraestructura y currículo. La variable claustro se enfoca en revelar toda la in formación pertinente que fundamenta la calidad del mismo, por lo que se necesita recopilar y evidenciar un volumen importante de datos e información. La presente investigación desarrollada en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Cienfuegos, posee como objetivo fundamental el desarrollo de un sistema informático para la gestión de la información relacionada con la variable claustro según los criterios establecidos por la Junta de Acreditación Nacional en su Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación. Para ello se utiliza la metodología de desarrollo de software seguida fue Rational Unified Process y el lenguaje de modelado Unified Modeling Language. Como herramienta principal se estableció: Visual Paradigm para UML 8.0 Enterprise Edition para la modelación los requerimientos. Como principal resultado se obtiene un software para gestionar toda la información del claustro de los diferentes programas académicos de la Educación Superior en Cuba. Palabras clave: sistema informático, evaluación, acreditación, educación superior.   ABSTRACT The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation System established by the National Accreditation Board in Cuba assesses five key variables for the different academic programs: relevance and social impact, faculty, students, infrastructure, and curriculum. The cloister variable focuses on revealing all the pertinent information that underpins its quality, so it is necessary to collect and evidence a significant volume of data and information. The present research developed at the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos, has as its main objective the development of a computer system for the management of information related to the cloister variable according to the criteria established by the National Accreditation Board in its Evaluation and Accreditation. For this, the software development methodology followed was Rational Unified Process and the Unified Modeling Language modeling language. The main tool was Visual Paradigm for UML 8.0 Enterprise Edition for modeling the requirements. As the main result, a software is obtained to manage all the information of the cloister of the different academic programs of Higher Education in Cuba. Los Organismos de Acreditación Nacionales e Internacionales tienen como objetivo fundamental evaluar la calidad, pertinencia y mejora continua de los programas académicos de Ciencias de la Computación, Sistemas de Información y Tecnologías de Comunicación que se ofertan a la sociedad en Instituciones de Educación Superior; a través de los criterios en estudiantes, docentes, plan de estudio, egresados e infraestructura, entre otros. El CONAIC al igual que otros organismos de acreditación nacional, tienen en común los criterios de evaluación con la finalidad de cumplir los estándares y parámetros previamente establecidos por el Consejo para la Acreditación de la Educación Superior (COPAES) y avalados por la Secretaria en Educación Pública (SEP). Asimismo, existe un rango de convergencia que le permite adaptarse a otros marcos internacionales que comparten la misma visión. Este documento, selecciona la acreditación ABET por ser el par de CONAIC en Estados Unidos, para presentar las similitudes que existen y determinar las fortalezas u oportunidades que tienen ambos procesos, en beneficio del egresado. National and International Accreditation Bodies have as fundamental objective to evaluate the quality, pertinence and continuous improvement of the academic programs of Computer Science, Information Systems and Communication Technologies that are offered to society in Higher Education Institutions; Through criteria in students, teachers, curriculum, graduates and infrastructure, among others. Conaic like others organisms of national acreditation has in comun the evaluation criteria with the goal to comply the standards and parameters previously established by the Council for Accreditation of Higher Education (COPAES) and endorsed by the Secretary in Public Education (SEP). Likewise, there is a range of convergence that allows it to adapt to other international frameworks that share the same vision. This document selects ABET accreditation for being the CONAIC pair in the United States, to present the similarities that exist and determinate the strengths or opportunities that have both processes, for the benefit of the graduate.

This paper presents an overview of the Rational Unified Process. The Rational unified Process is a software engineering process, delivered through a web-enabled, searchable knowledge base. The process enhances team productivity and delivers software best practices via guidelines, templates and tool mentors for all critical software lifecycle activities. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to curate and promote students’ and lecturers’ works and creations, and to provide pleasing user experience for mobile device users when browsing the portfolio gallery information. Design/methodology/approach The design of the mobile web application using Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology includes Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams. The evaluation is done in three steps: first step by comparing similar software, the second step by evaluate the interface using the eight golden rules and the last one by taking user questionnaire. Findings Evaluation of the application of Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) Store Mobile Web. Originality/value The authors report the development of BINUS Store Mobile web application by using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) with Laravel framework and evaluate it in Android and iOS environments.

Pada 2018 jumlah pengguna internet telah mencapai angka 171,17 juta jiwa diseluruh Indonesia yang setara dengan 64,8% dari total keseluruhan penduduk Indonesia yang berjumlah 264,16 juta jiwa, menurut riset Google yang dilaporkan oleh e-Conomy SEA pada tahun 2018 angka transaksi ekonomi digital Indonesia ditetapkan sebagai peringkat pertama di kawasan Asia Tenggara dengan kontribusi 49%. Perancangan sistem e-marketplace yang ditujukan untuk mengenalkan ciri khas dari produk betawi di Jakarta merupakan hal yang baik, sebab saat ini produk khas betawi tergolong sangat sulit ditemukan di Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan sistem yaitu Rational Unified Process atau yang biasa disingkat dengan RUP memiliki 4 fase yang terdiri dari: inception, elaboration, contruction, transition. UML (Unified Modeling Language) digunakan pada tahap analisis dan perancangan guna mempermudah pemahaman atas sistem yang dibangun, kemudian tahap pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan blackbox testing. Pada Balai IPTEKnet Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) terdapat sebuah prosedur untuk memanajemen keluhan mitra kerjasama. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan mitra kerjasama agar dapat menyampaikan keluhannya serta memudahkan staf Balai IPTEKnet dalam mengelola keluhan yang disampaikan oleh mitra kerjasama. Manajemen ini merupakan salah satu strategi CRM atau manajemen hubungan pelanggan yang ada di Balai IPTEKnet BPPT. Teknologi informasi memainkan peranan penting dan makin luas dalam bisnis. Mengingat berkembangnya dunia teknologi informasi dewasa ini, maka upaya yang akan dilakukan peneliti agar memudahkan pelanggan untuk berinteraksi dengan pegawai Balai IPTEKnet dalam menyampaikan keluhan dan mengefisienkan staf Balai IPTEKnet dalam memanajemen keluhan yaitu dengan membuat sebuah sistem manajemen keluhan mitra kerjasama berbasis web.Perancangan sistem dilakukan setelah data diperoleh dan analisa terhadap data yang didapat telah dilakukan. Sistem yang akan dibuat dirancang berdasarkan metode unified process dan menggunakan diagram UML (Unified Modeling Language). Dilakukan pengujian dengan menggunakan metode black box.

GOMS is a model that analyzes knowledge of how to do a task in terms of Goals, Operators, Methods and Selection rules. GOMS is one of the most popular theoretical models in the field of human-computer interaction. Since its introduction, the GOMS model has been extended, enhanced and applied to areas outside human-computer interaction. The goal of this chapter is to discuss the use of the GOMS model for the design and evaluation of modeling techniques. In this chapter, we introduce the GOMS concepts, discuss the applicability of GOMS for modeling and describe how GOMS can be used to analyze Rational Unified Process and Unified Modeling Language.

Technology provides space and challenge for universities to grow, innovate and compete globally. The higher education has long stood as a producer of knowledge. But the problem is that often the knowledge available in higher Education are not well managed. Politeknik Keuangan Negara STAN as an institution of higher education in the Ministry of Finance must undeniably have good knowledge management. Knowledge management has long been used as a system for managing knowledge by combining advances in information technology and organizational cultures. This research will discuss some alternative implementations of knowledge management in PKN STAN through five approaches, the approach function, structure approach, system approach, the approach flow of knowledge and conceptual approaches/SECI formulations. This study is expected to trigger more technical studies in the form of a knowledge management system design. The use of modeling language UML (unified modeling language) is suggested for further technical studies related to the development of knowledge management system at PKN STAN. UML will directly generate knowledge management model that can be immediately implemented.

This chapter introduces the CORAS methodology in which Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Unified Process (UP) are combined to support a model-based risk assessment on security-critical systems. The hypothesis is that modeling techniques like UML contribute to increased understanding for the different stakeholders involved during a risk assessment. In the CORAS methodology, a traditional risk management process is integrated with UP, which is a well-accepted system development process. CORAS tries to show how UML can contribute to better understanding, documentation, and communicating during the different phases of the risk management process. CORAS addresses both systems under development and systems already in use.

ABSTRACTThis paper presents the project "Education without borders", carried out by the direction of “Institución Universitaria Tecnológico de Antioquia —TdeA—” between 2008 and 2010 for the expansion of coverage in higher education in Antioquia sub-regions. The paper reviews the platform of development plans in the department of Antioquia and TdeA; it presents the regionalization model in higher education and shows program statistics. Municipalities addressed are analysed, as well as academic programs, correspondence between the program and the economic vocation in town, and so on. It ends by analyzing financial issues in the regionalization model and concludes with the main challenges of the model.RESUMENEste trabajo presenta el proyecto “Educación sin Fronteras”, realizado por la administración de la Institu-ción universitaria Tecnológico de Antioquia —TdeA— entre 2008 y 2010 para la ampliación de la cobertura en educa-ción superior en las subregiones del departamento de Antioquia. El trabajo esboza la plataforma de los planes de desa-rrollo del departamento de Antioquia y del TdeA; plantea el modelo de regionalización de la educación superior y presenta estadísticas del programa. Se examinan los municipios atendidos, la cobertura de estudiantes, el número de grupos, los egresados efectivos, los programas académicos, la correspondencia entre el programa y la vocación econó-mica de la municipalidad, etc. Termina con un análisis financiero del modelo de regionalización y concluye con los principales retos del modelo.

The rapid development of technology in various field, including the field of electronic, necessity of facility and comfort in controlling the electric devices are important, especially in controlling and monitoring the lamps. Nowdays society can control the electrical devices only with the switch connected by cabel. Then, it is needed a control system and monitoring lamps automatically. One of the systems is using micro controller. Based on the problems identified in Computer Sciences Faculty, system for controlling and monitoring lamps hasn�t� run efectivelly because it still uses manual and it has not got the lamps should be burn. Method of software development used in this research is Rational Unified Process (RUP) method by using design of Unified Modeling Language (UML) such as using case diagram, scenario, activity diagram, class diagram dan sequence diagram. Meanwhile, the problem solving method is using Fuzzy Logic method. System of controlling and monitoring the lamps built by fuzzy logic method is efective automaticallty.
