Hyperspectral images (HSIs) have become increasingly prominent as they can maintain the subtle spectral differences of the imaged objects. Designing approaches and tools for analyzing HSIs presents a unique set of challenges due to their high-dimensional characteristics. An improved color visualization approach is proposed in this article to achieve communication between users and HSIs in the field of remote sensing. Under the real-time interactive control and color visualization, this approach can help users intuitively obtain the rich information hidden in original HSIs. Using the dimensionality reduction (DR) method based on band selection, high-dimensional HSIs are reduced to low-dimensional images. Through drop-down boxes, users can freely specify images that participate in the combination of RGB channels of the output image. Users can then interactively and independently set the fusion coefficient of each image within an interface based on concentric circles. At the same time, the output image will be calculated and visualized in real time, and the information it reflects will also be different. In this approach, channel combination and fusion coefficient setting are two independent processes, which allows users to interact more flexibly according to their needs. Furthermore, this approach is also applicable for interactive visualization of other types of multi-layer data.

Interactive control schemes, such as stiffness control and impedance control, are widely accepted as a means to actively accommodate environmental forces, but have not been widely applied. This is in part because well-known controllers are parametrized in a mathematically convenient, but nonintuitive way. “Spatial compliance control” is a Euclidean-geometrical version of compliance control that is parametrized in an intuitive way. A family of compliances is introduced with spatial transformation properties that simplify spatial reasoning aspects of compliance parameter selection. A control law is derived assuming that the robot consists of a serial linkage of rigid links actuated by variable-effort actuators.

A design of Human-machine interaction system of embedded precision CNC internal grinder which based on touch screen is proposed. The master-slave two-stage control mode is used in the system. By developing interface software, the system achieves the integration interactive control for the internal grinding. The performance of Human-machine interaction is improved and the processing efficiency and communication capabilities are increased.

A major problem facing behavioral neuroscientists is a lack of unified, vendor-distributed data acquisition systems that allow stimulus presentation and behavioral monitoring while recording neural activity. Numerous systems perform one of these tasks well independently, but to our knowledge, a useful package with a straightforward user interface does not exist. Here we describe the development of a flexible, script-based user interface that enables customization for real-time stimulus presentation, behavioral monitoring and data acquisition. The experimental design can also incorporate neural microstimulation paradigms. We used this interface to deliver multimodal, auditory and visual (images or video) stimuli to a nonhuman primate and acquire single-unit data. Our design is cost-effective and works well with commercially available hardware and software. Our design incorporates a script, providing high-level control of data acquisition via a sequencer running on a digital signal processor to enable behaviorally triggered control of the presentation of visual and auditory stimuli. Our experiments were conducted in combination with eye-tracking hardware. The script, however, is designed to be broadly useful to neuroscientists who may want to deliver stimuli of different modalities using any animal model.
