Currently, organizations are increasingly aware of the need to protect their computer infrastructure to maintain continuity of operations. This process involves a number of different concerns including: managing natural disasters, equipment failure, and security breaches, poor data management, inadequate design, and complex/impractical design. The purpose of this article is to delineate how virtualization of hosts and cloud computing can be used to address the concerns resulting in improved computer infrastructure that can easily be restored following a natural disaster and which features fault tolerant hosts/components, isolates applications security attacks, is simpler in design, and is easier to manage. Further, because this technology has been out for a number of years and its capabilities have matured an attempt has been made to describe those capabilities as well as document successful applications.

Kata Kunci : Business Continuity Management, Cloud Computing, Keamanan Informasi, IT Infrastruktur, SNI ISO 22301:2020, disaster recovery plan, sistem evaluasi

This chapter describes the tools that businesses can use to create a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan. Utilizing business modeling, business impact analysis, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies, businesses can analyze their operations to learn the business critical functions that must be recovered as quickly as possible during any type of disaster. These processes are illustrated using the case study of a hypothetical small manufacturing business located in California. Specific information technology solutions are also discussed and the necessity of integrating them into the overall plan. Businesses that are prepared to face any kind of disaster with an implemented and tested Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan are much more likely to survive than businesses that do not have such a plan. It is hoped that the contents of this chapter will spur business owners that have not yet adopted such a plan to do so.

Cloud computing is the buzz word in today’s Information Technology. It can be used in various fields like banking, health care and education. Some of its major advantages that is pay-per-use and scaling, can be profitably implemented in development of Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP. There are various challenges in implementing an ERP on the cloud. In this paper, we discuss some of them like ERP software architecture by considering a case study of a manufacturing company.
