<p class="apa">Based on student-centred teaching strategy, the complete higher education should include the knowledge acquisition and the comprehensive development of college students. Life education is able to help college freshmen to establish an attitude towards respecting life, to cultivate lofty ideals and to stimulate learning motivation. In China, to assist freshmen in adapting campus life as soon as possible, the work of freshmen education is widespread in most universities. Base on the results of “Chinese college students’ life attitudes”, the convergence between life education and freshmen education is analyzed and it is feasible to carry out life education for college freshmen; meanwhile, the approaches of life education are explored and the curriculum system is established; therefore, the education perspective can be broadened and the content of freshmen education will be beneficially supplemented.</p>

Intelligence is innate, but grit is something everyone can develop. Grit not only enables students to stick to their goals, but also to persevere even when they fail. Career adaptability is an important concept in vocational education of college students, which is a person engaged in some work, must have a certain physical and psychological quality. Base on the self-regulation theory, this study investigated the relationship between grit and career adaptability of Chinese college student based on the self-regulatory processes. We surveyed 839 Chinese college students and tested a self-regulation model. As expected, grit was related to greater career adaptability via greater career exploration and decision self-efficacy, positive affect, and goal commitment. These findings not only broaden the theoretical framework for the effect of grit on career adaptability, but also open up a new horizon for improving college students’ career adaptability in practice.

With the continuous development of the economy and society, new media technologies have been widely used in every industry and all walks of life. New media technologies are also applied in the ideological politics education of the Chinese college students. Therefore, this article makes a brief analysis of college education in the context of the new media technology. New media technology is applied to the ideological politics education of college students, which not only places the emphasis on the importance of ideological politics in an intuitive manner towards the students, but also creates a good social atmosphere and innovates the ideological and moral education model.
