An organization's knowledge gained through technical conference attendance is generally isolated to the individual(s) attending the event. The aggregate corporate knowledge is extremely limited, unless the organization institutes a process to document and transfer that knowledge to the organization. Even if such a process exists, the knowledge gains are limited to the experiences and communication skills of the individuals attending the conference. Many conference proceedings are now published and provided to attendees in electronic format, such as on CD-ROM and/or published on the internet, such as IEEE conference proceedings listed at . These proceedings provide a rich repository that can be mined. Paper abstract compilations reflect "hot topics," as defined by the researchers in the field, and delineate the technical approaches being applied. R&D profiling can more fully exploit recorded conference proceedings' research to enhance corporate knowledge. This paper illustrates the potential in profiling conference proceedings through use of WebQL information retrieval and TechOasis (VantagePoint) text mining software. It shows how tracking research patterns and changes over a sequence of conferences can illuminate R&D trends, map dominant issues, and spotlight key research organizations.

Many efforts have been successfully paid by researchers or developers to grasp efficiently the contents of related works with a view to making their investigations successfully, preparing their plans effectively or attaining their objectives smartly. Although the paper abstract prepared by authors themselves is one of the useful efforts in many cases the content is not always sufficient by them to know the features of objective, approach, method, experimental data, evaluation, etc. in comparison with other related works. In this paper, we focus on the text associated with citation to reveal reference relationships between papers in order to achieve an objective of analyzing the influence of related works. Citation indicates the connection between two papers. Also, the text associated with citation can reflect the contribution of scientific papers, expressions of authors' opinions or other researches and also can show the usage of the research to resolve problems. Our main discussion points in this paper are classification of reference relationship, extraction of text associated with citation and representation of reference relationship from a viewpoint of making the original features of our work clear.

Abstract. For ISPRS Technical Commission I (TC I), a remarkable number of 189 submissionsfor the 2020 Congress edition of ISPRS Annals and ISPRS Archives was received.This included both full paper and abstract submissions from all over the world.Encouraged by the success of double blind paper reviewing in preparation of the2016 Prague congress and the 2018 Karlsruhe symposium, also this time, TC Iorganized a strict peer-reviewing process. This included double-blind reviewing forfull papers as well as a two-stage evaluation of abstract submissions – first stagebased on the submitted abstracts (“conditional acceptance“), and second stage after submission of the respective final papers.In total, we received 69 full paper submissions and 120 abstract submissions, whichindicates a nice trend towards full paper submissions compared to previous TC Ievents.45 full papers passed the double-blind peer-review process and were accepted forpublication in the ISPRS Annals (acceptance rate 64%); usually, three or four reviewswere obtained for each paper. Abstract submissions and their respective final paperswere reviewed by a team of professionals. In total, 76 papers were accepted to theISPRS Archives.The manuscripts in both the ISPRS Annals and Archives cover a broad range oftopics related to remote sensing platforms, technologies, systems and relatedmethods and reflect the current trends in algorithmic research and developments insensing and data acquisition methods. Noteworthy is that numerous contributionswere submitted to Intercommission WGs of TC I with TC II and TC IV, whichunderlines the increasing trend towards an integral approach to sensors, systemsand methods in photogrammetry, remote sensing and mobile mapping.

The author explores the process of healing through the use of artistic writing activities in a journal, which promote self-discovery. Techniques that involve art making and writing are shared, such as collaborative drawing and writing, ekphrasis, hand-made journals, mandala drawing, marble paper abstract drawing, and sensory printing. Through artistic design, the journey to better understand the self is addressed, emphasizing management of everyday stresses such as those stemming from relationships, roles, and change. Managing these stresses leads towards a healthy life by providing a balance between creative drive and daily obligations. Guided exercises using various media are explained. The process is emphasized, not the end product or artistic merit of the creation. It is through this creative process that tension and stress are released and the joy of discovery becomes a part of life. Individuality is valued through thoughtful reflection of the activities that are embedded in artistic design journals.
