Process variation is inevitable for any production line regardless of the industry. The trend for smaller, lighter yet multifunctional devices has created high expectation for the semiconductor manufacturer to produce more robust and highly reliable devices. One way to achieve this is by assessing the variance performance of the assembly production. In this study, the mechanical properties of copper alloy C194 used as the lead frame for particular IC device have been investigated. Samples from control and defect groups been subjected to hardness (Rockwell test) and tensile (Instron test) while the optical microscopy used to verify the microstructure. The result shows that the hardness and tensile of the defect group is relatively lower than the control group while the elongation of the defect group is almost 10% higher. This finding is very useful to be shared with the process owner so that in-depth investigation on the lead frame material consistency or the temperature range optimization can be carried out to prevent such variations that contribute to the inconsistence wire bond yield performance.

Sequencing of hybrid assembly production directly affects the balancecontinuity and punctuality of production process. First, the mathematical models with MILP of hybrid assembly production are established, and then the sets of sequencing scheme of minimum makespan which meet customers demands are obtained. Furthermore workshop simulation models with Flexsim software are established. In this paper, the painting hybrid assembly production line of some automobile engine manufacturing plant was employed to analyze the sequencing as an example, and the obtained painting production line sequencing scheme is consistent with the actual production of enterprises and it improves production capacity.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology provides a wireless way to detect and recognize objects. By using the RFID reader as a sensor, development of RFID helper object tracking system to track the production situation of a flexible assembly line make tracking application. At the same time, based on the range and without scope of cooperation tracking algorithm, we analysis the system. And in order to achieve the balance of density and cost among the read write device, this paper considers only simple reader and omnidirectional scattering antenna. In order to further improve the production efficiency, we use a particle filter model, in order to further processing tracking result of object, improve tracking precision. We suggest that the tracking system can also predict the operation state of product in assembly production line.

In this paper, we researched a one-of-a-kind assembly production system where every product is unique (i.e. each product has its unique tree-like process route) and arrives one by one randomly with the exponentially distributed interarrival times. We proposed a new effective combined dispatching rule (ELFT rule) that is constructed by considering three factors: the latest finishing time (LFT), the remaining path size (RPS) and whether an operation is on the critical path (CP). We did many numerical experiments to compare the efficiency between the proposed rule and other rules that were reported in existing studies such as LFT rule and EDD rule. The performance analysis shows that the proposed dispatching rule is more effective in reducing the number of tardy products and total tardiness time.
