During curve negotiation, drivers tend to look at the tangent point of the curve (TP) to control steering. There is a lack of evidence on how experiences of natural and simulated driving are related. The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of experience in natural driving on gaze behavior of racing videogame players. Additionally, it aimed to identify possible effects of curvature angle on fixation patterns. Twenty video game players composed two groups: drivers-gamers and no-drivers-gamers. Participants had their eye movements recorded while performing three laps racing on a videogame circuit, which had eleven curves. Areas of interest were defined relative to TP: 3 degrees, 10 degrees of visual angle, and Others. Dependent variables were: Number of Fixations and Total Duration of Fixations. Results showed that natural context driving experience did not change the tangent point visual strategy during curve negotiation in a racing videogame environment. All participants spent approximately half of their number of fixations and total fixation time within 10 degrees around the tangent point. Curvature angles modified fixation patterns, causing higher number of fixations and total fixation time during sharper curves.

The presented paper utilizes the basic theory of the envelope surface in differential geometry to investigate the undercutting line, the contact boundary line and the limit normal point of conjugate surfaces in gearing. It is proved that (1) the edges of regression of the envelope surfaces are the undercutting line and the contact boundary line in theory of gearing respectively, and (2) the limit normal point is the common tangent point of the two edges of regression of the conjugate surfaces. New equations for the undercutting line, the contact boundary line and the limit normal point of the conjugate surfaces are developed based on the definition of the edges of regression. Philosophy is a critical, rational, and radical reflection towards main things in human life. Reflection (Reflekture) is referred to deeply critical self-contemplation. Thinking in a critical manner is to mean to always place everything in consideration and awareness in order to find the answers to the occurring questions. Thus, every philosopher will find their own alternatives with differentlyspeculative answers. When philosophy defined as a science which has the characteristics mentioned above is related to art, another science which has its certain system, even to religion which has absolute truth, it will become something interesting for a study.In this article the author have made some comparison of  them and found the tangent point where they complement each otherbecause they, basically, have scope of  knowledge in common.

Abstract. Limb remote sensing from space provides atmospheric composition measurements at high vertical resolution while the information is smeared in the horizontal domain. The horizontal components of two-dimensional (altitude and along-track coordinate) averaging kernels of a limb retrieval constrained to horizontal homogeneity can be used to estimate the horizontal resolution of limb retrievals. This is useful for comparisons of measured data with modeled data, to construct horizontal observation operators in data assimilation applications or when measurements of different horizontal resolution are intercompared. We present these averaging kernels for retrievals of temperature, H2O, O3, CH4, N2O, HNO3 and NO2 from MIPAS (Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding) high-resolution limb emission spectra. The horizontal smearing of a MIPAS retrieval in terms of full width at half maximum of the rows of the horizontal averaging kernel matrix varies typically between about 200 and 350 km for most species, altitudes and atmospheric conditions. The range where 95% of the information originates from varies from about 260 to 440 km for these cases. This information spread is smaller than the MIPAS horizontal sampling, i.e. MIPAS data are horizontally undersampled, and the effective horizontal resolution is driven by the sampling rather than the smearing. The point where the majority of the information originates from is displaced from the tangent point towards the satellite by typically less than 10 km for trace gas profiles and about 50 to 100 km for temperature, with a few exceptions for uppermost altitudes. The geolocation of a MIPAS profile is defined as the tangent point of the middle line of sight in a MIPAS limb scan. The majority of the information displacement with respect to this nominal geolocation of the measurement is caused by the satellite movement and the geometrical displacement of the actual tangent point as a function of the elevation angle. In none of the cases investigated, propagation of the horizontal smoothing on the vertical profile shape has been observed.

This work presents the investigation and improvement on curve negotiation performance of suspended monorail vehicle considering a flexible guideway. First, a spatial train–guideway interaction model of suspended monorail system (SMS) is established based on the secondary development of ANSYS software. Then, the dynamic analysis of the train over the flexible curved guideway is conducted, and the curve negotiation performance of the vehicle and the guideway vibration feature are revealed. Subsequently, several crucial design parameters that significantly influence the curve negotiation performance of the vehicle are found, and their influences on the train–guideway dynamic responses are systematically investigated. Finally, by comprehensively considering the dynamic indexes of the vehicle–guideway system, the optimal ranges of these crucial design parameters are obtained. Results show that decreasing the radial stiffness of guiding tyre can effectively reduce the lateral vibration levels of vehicle and guideway, but it would increase the lateral displacements of the bogie and hanging beam; and the radial stiffness is finally suggested to be around 1[Formula: see text]kN/mm by comprehensively considering all dynamic indexes. Increasing the initial compression displacement of guiding tyre can well limit the lateral displacements of the bogie and the hanging beam, thus enhancing the train running safety; however, it would intensify the vehicle-guideway lateral vibration level; especially, the optimal initial compression displacement of guiding tyre is related to its radial stiffness characteristics. To ensure a good curve negotiation performance of vehicle and guideway vibration level, the stiffness of the anti-roll torsion bar and the initial gradient angle of the installed trapezoid four-link suspended device are suggested to be 1.0[Formula: see text]MNm/rad and 65–[Formula: see text], respectively.
