In order to design an effective and economical multi-point mooring system for the new concept FPSO IQFP (fillet inverted quadrangular frustum pyramid shaped FPSO, presented by the lead author), the effects of the mooring parameters on the performance of catenary mooring system and taut mooring system were investigated according to the initial design plans given in advance according to the steady environment forces and practical experiences. Then, the optimal mooring systems were developed on the basis of the static analysis results combined with the coupled calculations in time domain. Finally, the merits and demerits of the two mooring schemes were compared based on the mooring and static characteristic parameters as well as the curves of restoring force against horizontal displacement of the catenary and taut mooring systems respectively. The results verify that the taut mooring system is preferable to the catenary mooring system for IQFP deployed in shallow waters.

Breakdown voltage (BV), on-state voltage (Von), static latch-up voltage (Vlu), static latch-up current density (Jlu), and threshold voltage (Vth), etc., are critical static characteristic parameters of an IGBT for researchers. Von and Vth can characterize the conduction capability of the device, while BV, Vlu, and Jlu can help designers analyze the safe operating area (SOA) of the device and its reliability. In this paper, we propose a multi-layer artificial neural network (ANN) framework to predict these characteristic parameters. The proposed scheme can accurately fit the relationship between structural parameters and static characteristic parameters. Given the structural parameters of the device, characteristic parameters can be generated accurately and efficiently. Compared with technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulation, the average errors of our scheme for each characteristic parameter are within 8%, especially for BV and Vth, while the errors are controlled within 1%, and the evaluation speed is improved more than 107 times. In addition, since the prediction process is mathematically a matrix operation process, there is no convergence problem, which there is in a TCAD simulation.

Annular gap throttle has been used in water hydraulic slide valve which makes the hydraulic full-bridge network of the water hydraulic servo valve different from that of traditional hydraulic servo valve with fixed orifice. Based on liquid resistance theory and hydraulic bridge theory, the load pressure characteristics, pressure sensitivity and static characteristic parameters have been analyzed by the research of hydraulic full-bridge network constituted by annular gap throttle and clearance throttle between flapper and nozzle. The results show that the load pressure characteristics of the hydraulic full-bridge in water hydraulic servo valve keep fine linear relationship with flapper displacement, but the pressure sensitivity decreases in the normal working range of servo valve. However, the pressure sensitivity can achieve a reasonable value by the improvement of hydraulic full-bridge.

The research on the combination of the characteristics becomes extremely important to the success of machine tool design. This paper mainly studies the dynamic and static characteristic parameters of heavy machine tool guide-way joint. And put forward a practical machine tool combining surface analysis method according to the experimental verification. It is presented that small linear guide as a scale model based on similarity theory. And make a research on the static and dynamic characteristics of small guide joint and the conclusion extended to heavy machine set of faces. And the conclusion is extended to the heavy machine set of faces. The results can be used as reference data about structure and design of the machine tool due to the similarity principle and error range.

AbstractWe have developed a detailed siphon flow model for coronal loops. We find scaling laws relating the characteristic parameters of the loop, explore systematically the space of solutions and show that supersonic flows are impossible for realistic values of heat flux at the base of the upflowing leg.

Introduction. An osteopathic examination determines the rate, the amplitude and the strength of the main rhythms (cardiac, respiratory and cranial). However, there are relatively few studies in the available literature dedicated to the influence of osteopathic correction (OC) on the characteristics of these rhythms.Goal of research — to study the influence of OC on the rate characteristics of various rhythms of the human body.Materials and methods. 88 adult osteopathic patients aged from 18 to 81 years were examined, among them 30 men and 58 women. All patients received general osteopathic examination. The rate of the cranial rhythm (RCR), respiratory rate (RR) heart rate (HR), the mobility of the nervous processes (MNP) and the connective tissue mobility (CTM) were assessed before and after the OC session.Results. Since age varied greatly in the examined group, a correlation analysis of age-related changes of the assessed rhythms was carried out. Only the CTM correlated with age (r=–0,28; p<0,05) in a statistically significant way. The rank dispersion analysis of Kruskal–Wallis also showed statistically significant difference in this indicator in different age groups (p=0,043). With the increase of years, the CTM decreases gradually. After the OC, the CTM, increased in a statistically significant way (p<0,0001). The RCR varied from 5 to 12 cycles/min in the examined group, which corresponded to the norm. After the OC, the RCR has increased in a statistically significant way (p<0,0001), the MNP has also increased (p<0,0001). The initial heart rate in the subjects varied from 56 to 94 beats/min, and in 15 % it exceeded the norm. After the OC the heart rate corresponded to the norm in all patients. The heart rate and the respiratory rate significantly decreased after the OC (р<0,0001).Conclusion. The described biorhythm changes after the OC session may be indicative of the improvement of the nervous regulation, of the normalization of the autonomic balance, of the improvement of the biomechanical properties of body tissues and of the increase of their mobility. The assessed parameters can be measured quickly without any additional equipment and can be used in order to study the results of the OC.
