An organisation's talent management practice is a human resource strategy aimed at identifying, developing, deploying and retaining talented and high-potential staff. Talent management is primarily among the human resource practices of employee development. By identifying and enhancing the skills of employees, it not only increases their efficiency, but also results in higher job satisfaction, increased motivation, and elevated retention rates of staff.The purpose of this research was to look into the impact of talent management on South Africa's banking sector, with reference to the retention of employees. Those included in the study were randomly selected managers and staff from FNB, ABSA and Nedbank. The study's goal was to investigate if targeted talent management influences the retention of employees within the organisation.This study used a descriptive research design. To obtain quantitative data, the researcher applied a questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the quantitative data produced from Cronbach alpha, Z-test and Chi-square tests. The research disclosed that the primary talent methods are motivation, regular training and employee development.However, succession planning, career mentoring, recruitment, and selection - as talent management techniques have a direct relationship with employee retention. Based on the study’s findings, it is recommended that the organisation should develop effective talent management practices aimed at increasing the retention of employees.

Human Resource is one of the basic functions of the organisation that manages the workforce more effectively in achieving the objectives of the organisation. Talent Management is the emerging trend in the HR department. It involves the process from recruiting to retaining the talent pool of employees. This practice concentrate not only on the identified talent of the employees it also makes them develop the unidentified one. Retaining the talented employees is one of the biggest responsibility of an organisation. In the current scenario, holding the abled workforce is difficult for the company. This paper presents the impact of talent management on workforce retention in selected hotels in Madurai. The major objective of this paper is to study the talent management practices which are in progress in the hotels and the interconnection between talent management, employee turnover, and employee retention practices in selected hotels in the study area. A sample of 200 respondents from 5 hotels were chosen. The respondents are from different designation selected under cluster sampling method. Chi-square test was used to substantiate the association between the talent management practices and retentiveness of the employees to the same hotel. The significant value of chi-square at 95% confidence level revealed that there is considerable interrelation between the talent management practices and employee retention strategies in selected hotels in study area.

The purpose of this paper is to measure the impact of human resource management practices individually and as a system on organizational commitment. Data were collected from 304 respondents from banking sector of China. A questionnaire survey for this purpose was conducted in different cities of China. Correlations and multiple regression statistics analysis were used to explore the relationship between the variables involved in the study. The findings of the study provide support for the variables (selection, training, performance appraisal, promotion, performance based rewards, information sharing, job security and human resource management system) and are confirmed by the results of the previous studies. The findings of the current study support the notion that the HR practices relates to organizational commitment, individually and as a system as well. These findings provide important avenues for the banking sector of China and for the debate regarding convergence of the human resource management practices regionally as well as internationally.

Improvement of human resource management is critical to overall productivity and cost effectiveness in the construction industry. This study assesses the current human resource management practices in the Nigeria construction organisation and the challenges confronting it. Questionnaire survey was adopted using purposive sampling technique. Ninety eight human resource managers and construction professionals in two categories of construction organisations (client organisations involved in real estate development and contractor organisations) were sampled. The results reveal that prevailing recruitment practices are placement of the right staff in the right department for the achievement of company general goals, and screening of candidates for vacant positions. Most common training and development practices involve inducting, orienting and training newly recruited employee on software and use of tools, and assigning staff based on their skill and expertise.Provision of appropriate/modern working tools and equipment and provision of incentives and benefits to staff are prevailing motivation and labour union practices. The study further identified:competition for global mobile talents, labour turnover, recruiting the right person for a specific position, wages and compensation as some of the challenges facing HRM practice in Nigeria.The study concludes that recruitment and selection practices in the construction organisation are distinctly different from those of the manufacturing and banking industry and it centres on selection of skilled and technically competent personnel for organisation’s general goal.   The study recommends that future study should  assess the impact of the identified human resource practices on productivity and project performance.

Abstract Understanding the impact of human capital on the achievement of career success is essential for each individual in turbulent times on the labor market. Banking sector also is human capital intensive and plays a critical role for the banks in meeting their goals and offering services to its clients. In the current era of technology, globalization and the general progress principles of "knowledge economy" are ruling. So, each individual in the labor market who wants to build own career, should work on continuous improvement of human capital. This helps their recognition in the increasingly competitive labor market, which eliminates "weak players" since their inability to adapt the modern trends and staff needs. The paper determines that human resource management (HRM) in banking sector must embrace strategic human resource planning programs with all banks strategy. This underlines the essential meaning of designing an effective recruitment policy with these strategies as formulation and implementation of active reward policy. Also, banks should include more active training and development for employees. This paper presents a statistical analysis of the correlation mentioned categories, based on 474 employees, in Serbian and Macedonian banking sector. Analyses such as Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U, Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z test and linear regression, proving the significance impact of the development of employees' human capital on career success, viewed through different hierarchical positions in a particular sector.

Human resource managers need to play critical roles to overcome the talented and younger employees' turnover intention in an organization. This study aims to determine the causal relationship between talent management practice, perceived organizational support, and employee engagement and the impact on the turnover intention of Generation Y employees. A convenience sampling technique was used for this research. The study surveyed 182 Generation Y employees. The data collected were initially analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with the smartPLS-3 software. The results showed that talent management practice has a significant effect on perceived organizational support and employee engagement. It is also inferred that talent management practice, perceived organizational support, and employee engagement has a significant negative effect on turnover intention. This study also confirms that perceived organizational support has a significant positive effect on employee engagement. Additionally, this study discovered that perceived organizational support and employee engagement operate as mediators between talent management practices and turnover intention.

The inquiry of Russian and foreign companies (working in Russia) showed that perceived and dedicated talent management practices contribute to better companies performance. The study results can be used in talent management practice development.

In Ethiopia, the practice of land management started three decades ago in order to address the problem of land degradation and to further boost agricultural production. However, the impact of land management practices in curbing land degradation problems and improving the productivity of the agricultural sector is insignificant. Various empirical works have previously identified the determinants of the adoption rate of land management practices. However, the sustainability of land management practices after adoption, and the various factors that control the sustainability of implemented land management practices, are not well addressed. This study analyzed the factors affecting the sustainability of land management practices after implementation in Mecha Woreda, northwestern Ethiopia. The study used 378 sample respondents, selected by a systematic random sampling technique. Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the quantitative data, while the qualitative data were qualitatively and concurrently analyzed with the quantitative data. The sustained supply of fodder from the implemented land management practices, as well as improved cattle breed, increases the sustainability of the implemented land management practices. While lack of agreement in the community, lack of enforcing community bylaws, open cattle grazing, lack of benefits of implemented land management practices, acting as barrier for farming practices, poor participation of household heads during planning and decision-making processes, as well as the lack of short-term benefits, reduce the sustainability of the implemented land management practices. Thus, it is better to allow for the full participation of household heads in planning and decision-making processes to bring practical and visible results in land management practices. In addition, recognizing short-term benefits to compensate the land lost in constructing land management structures must be the strategy in land management practices. Finally, reducing the number of cattle and practicing stall feeding is helpful both for the sustainability of land management practices and the productivity of cattle. In line with this, fast-growing fodder grass species have to be introduced for household heads to grow on land management structures and communal grazing fields for stall feeding.
