Virtual instrument is a result of the computer combined with some instrument hardware, working for the instrumentation applications, it is one trend of the instrumentation development .This paper presents a design of a high-power and high-precision constant current source, studied three different electrical testing technologies based on constant current source and propose the principle of integrated the three electrical test technologies on a virtual instrument platform. A multi-function virtual instrument system based on LabView language, USB data acquisition card and a constant current source has been developed. This system has a high accuracy, high integration and a thecapability of further development etc..

In order to guarantee the stable emission power and good working environment of semiconductor laser, a new hardware circuit is selected and designed to realize automatic optical power control, in which a negative feedback operation amplifier circuit is adopted to form the constant current source, and an optoelectronic feedback to realize closed loop control in this paper. And then, the corresponding steady control circuit is also designed, so that the stable power can be output. The experimental results show that the stability of laser power is better than 0.74% when the system works.

This paper introduces an online auto-monitoring instrument which can automatically slice the external insulation cover of the leading wire and accurately measure the wick resistance in the assembly line of the detonator wick resistance. With safety protection circuit, constant current source is employed to measure the resistance, endowing the design with high accuracy, safety protection features and high degree of automation. It is expected to change the traditional production process where manual work has been used to measure and collect statistics, hence could greatly improve labor productivity as well as product quality and produce favorable application and promotion value.
