We isolated the soil bacterium strain PL1 and herein report its complete genome sequence. The strain presented 97% average nucleotide identity (ANI) to Bacillus cereus and 91% ANIs to other members of the B. cereus group, indicating that it is affiliated with B. cereus.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of Buttiauxella agrestis DSM 9389, which harbors eight 16S rRNA genes classified into three types. The genome sequence of this strain showed a high average nucleotide identity (97.3%) with that of the highly membrane vesicle-producing strain B. agrestis ATCC 33320T.

ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus is a Gram-positive rod-shaped spore-forming bacterium widespread in different environmental niches. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Bacillus cereus VKM B-370 from the All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms, the host strain for bacteriophages vB_BtS_B83, vB_BcM_Sam46, vB_BcM_Sam112, and Izhevsk.

Bacillus cereus PgBE311, isolated from the root tissue of a 5-year-old Panax ginseng plant, showed activities against the fungal pathogens Cylindrocarpon destructans and Botrytis cinerea. Here, we report the genome sequence of B. cereus PgBE311.

ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus C1L, a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium, provides protection against fungal pathogens in monocot plants. To gain new insights into the biocontrol mechanisms used by this rhizobacterium, we determined the complete genome sequence of B. cereus C1L. One chromosome and three plasmids were identified with a total size of ~6.0 Mb.

ABSTRACT Sphingobium barthaii KK22T is a high-molecular-weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-degrading soil bacterium that has been investigated in biotransformation, microbial ecology, and DNA damage studies. The complete genome sequence of S. barthaii revealed four closed circular sequences, including two chromosomes, a megaplasmid, and a smaller plasmid, by hybrid assembly using short- and long-read sequencing technologies.

Cupriavidus necator KK10 has been investigated in azaarene and diesel fuel biodegradation studies and is capable of polyhydroxyalkanoate production. Its complete genome sequence revealed two closed circular sequences, the chromosome (6.68 Mb) and plasmid (1.67 Mb). The KK10 genome carries functional genes potentially responsible for azaarene biodegradation and polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biosynthesis.

ABSTRACT Roseimicrobium sp. strain ORNL1 is a soil bacterium that belongs to the phylum Verrucomicrobia and was isolated from the rhizosphere of a forest Eastern cottonwood tree, Populus deltoides, in Tennessee. Its 7.9-Mb chromosome was completely sequenced using PacBio long reads and is predicted to encode 6,288 proteins and 76 RNAs.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of a Bacillus cereus isolate identified in a soil sample from Namibia. This isolate is closely related to the B. anthracis clade. While the plasmids (500 and 12 kb) carry no detectable B. anthracis virulence gene, the large plasmid shares a 50-kb continuous region similar to plasmid pXO1.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of Rhizobium sp. strain ACO-34A, isolated from Agave americana L. rhizosphere. No common nod genes were found, but there were nif genes for nitrogen fixing. A low average nucleotide identity to reported species supports its designation as a novel Rhizobium species that has a complete ribosomal operon in a plasmid.

ABSTRACT We isolated Thermus thermophilus strain HB5018 from Mine Hot Spring in Japan, where the type strain HB8 was isolated nearly half a century ago. The complete genome sequence of HB5018 showed 99.1% average nucleotide identity with HB8, suggesting strict species conservation in the habitat over the past 50 years.
