ABSTRACT Here, we present the draft genome sequence of strain LSUCC0112, a cultured representative from the Gulf of Mexico that is phylogenetically close to the OM182 clade within oligotrophic marine Gammaproteobacteria. LSUCC0112 shows the potential for aerobic heterotrophy, glycogen synthesis, flagellar motility, and assimilatory sulfate reduction.

We present the draft genome sequence of strain LSUCC0057, a member of the SAR92 clade of Gammaproteobacteria, isolated from coastal waters near Buras, LA. The genome contains proteorhodopsin and indicates the potential for aerobic heterotrophy, assimilatory sulfate reduction, and carotenoid biosynthesis.

Here, we present the draft genome sequence of Verrucosispora sp. strain CWR15, a bacterial symbiont of a Gulf of Mexico sponge. The genome consists of 35 contigs encoding 5,840 genes. The genome is the basis for future study and presents an underexplored taxonomy and biosynthetic potential.

Here, we describe the genome of Desulfofundulus thermobenzoicus subsp. thermosyntrophicus DSM 14055, a member of the Clostridiales that is capable of sulfate reduction coupled to the oxidation of propionate, lactate, pyruvate, and H2/CO2. This genome expands our understanding of microbial sulfate reduction (MSR) in anaerobic methanogenic environments.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the metagenome-assembled genome sequence of a Rhodobacteraceae bacterium strain, Clear-D3, that was reconstructed from a cyanobacterial enrichment from a eutrophic lake. The draft genome sequence shows evidence of an anoxygenic photoautotrophic lifestyle. Other potential capabilities include aerobic heterotrophy, flagellar motility, chemotaxis, and utilization of complex C-P compounds.

Here, we present the draft genome of LSUCC0115, a novel coastal Gulf of Mexico bacterioplankton isolate within the order Burkholderiales. LSUCC0115 has the metabolic potential for aerobic heterotrophy, phototrophy, and lithoautotrophy, as well as genes for flagellar assembly and quorum sensing.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.
