We present the draft genome sequence of strain LSUCC0057, a member of the SAR92 clade of Gammaproteobacteria, isolated from coastal waters near Buras, LA. The genome contains proteorhodopsin and indicates the potential for aerobic heterotrophy, assimilatory sulfate reduction, and carotenoid biosynthesis.

ABSTRACT Here, we present the draft genome sequence of strain LSUCC0112, a cultured representative from the Gulf of Mexico that is phylogenetically close to the OM182 clade within oligotrophic marine Gammaproteobacteria. LSUCC0112 shows the potential for aerobic heterotrophy, glycogen synthesis, flagellar motility, and assimilatory sulfate reduction.

ABSTRACT Nesterenkonia sp. strain PF2B19, a psychrophilic bacterium, was isolated from 44,800-year-old permafrost. The draft genome sequence of this strain revealed the presence of genes involved in the production of cold active enzymes, carotenoid biosynthesis, fatty acid biosynthesis, and resistance to heavy metals. These results show the immense potential of the strain.

Here, we describe the genome of Desulfofundulus thermobenzoicus subsp. thermosyntrophicus DSM 14055, a member of the Clostridiales that is capable of sulfate reduction coupled to the oxidation of propionate, lactate, pyruvate, and H2/CO2. This genome expands our understanding of microbial sulfate reduction (MSR) in anaerobic methanogenic environments.

ABSTRACT The uncultured NS5 marine group represents one of the most ubiquitous flavobacterial bacterioplankton associated with marine blooms in the pelagic ocean. Here, we present a single-cell genome sampled from coastal waters in the Red Sea that represents the first high-quality draft genome sequence within the NS5 lineage.

ABSTRACT The draft genome sequence of wheat rhizosphere isolate Pseudomonas sp. strain SWRI103 is reported. This strain carries several gene clusters encoding nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs), including a system for cyclic lipopeptide (CLP) production, and genes for carotenoid biosynthesis.

Reported here is the draft genome sequence of an amylase-, protease-, DNase-, oxidase-, gelatinase-, and catalase-producing, Gram-positive diplobacillus (Bacillussp. SM1 strain MCC2138), which was isolated from marine coastal waters and has the ability to degum raw silk fabric as well as Ramie fiber. The genome comprises 1.76 Mb with a GC content of 34.5%.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.
