We isolated four Thermus thermophilus strains from Arima Hot Spring in Japan. Complete genome sequencing revealed that they showed average nucleotide identities of ≥99.21% to each other and to strains previously isolated from the same spot, but of ≤97.86% to strains from geographically different spots in Japan, reflecting habitat-specific genomic conservation.

ABSTRACT We isolated Thermus thermophilus strains HB5002 and HB5008 from Mine Hot Spring in Japan. Whole-genome sequencing revealed that they showed ∼100% average nucleotide identity to each other, ≥98.53% to the T. thermophilus strains originating from the same spot but ≤97.64% to the T. thermophilus strains from geographically different places in Japan.

ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequencing and annotation of four Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis isolates, two that are representative of the Central/Eastern African clade (CP255 and D7795) and two of the Global Epidemic clade (A1636 and P125109).

We isolated halophilic and thermophilic Thermus thermophilus strains AA2-20 and AA2-29 from nonvolcanic, oceanic Arima Onsen (hot spring) in Japan. Here, we report the complete genome sequences of these organisms to gain insights into halophilicity.

Thermus thermophilus strain HC11 was isolated from Mine Geyser in Japan, where type strain HB8 was isolated 50 years ago. In this article, the complete genome sequence of HC11 is presented. HC11 shares the highest average nucleotide identity with HB8 among known T. thermophilus genomes (93.1%) with no genetic rearrangements.

Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Mycoplasma synoviae HN01, a virulent epidemic strain isolated from a sick chicken with synovitis in Henan Province, China. HN01 is the Asian source of an M. synoviae strain that is completely sequenced, genome annotated, and published with relevant data.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequences of the acetic acid bacteria (AAB) Acetobacter aceti TMW 2.1153, A. persici TMW 2.1084, and Neoasaia chiangmaiensis NBRC 101099, which secrete biotechnologically relevant heteropolysaccharides (HePSs) into their environments. Upon genome sequencing of these AAB strains, the corresponding HePS biosynthesis pathways were identified.

Elizabethkingia sp. strain 2-6 was collected from a water faucet in the intensive care unit of a medical center in Taiwan. The complete genome sequence and annotation are reported. Analysis of the genetic relatedness to the known Elizabethkingia genomes indicated that strain 2-6 may be a new genomospecies of Elizabethkingia.

ABSTRACT We report here the draft genome sequences of 10 Yersinia pseudotuberculosis isolates recovered from tonsils of wild boars hunted between 2015 and 2016 in Germany. Whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatic analyses were performed to assess the diversity of Y. pseudotuberculosis , which may result in human infections caused by the consumption of game meat.

Clostridium tyrobutyricum is the main bacterial species leading to the late blowing defect, a major cause of spoilage in semihard and hard cheeses. This study reports the complete genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation of C. tyrobutyricum strain Cirm BIA 2237, formerly called CNRZ 608, isolated from silage.

ABSTRACT A highly virulent strain of Francisella noatunensis subsp. orientalis, STIR-GUS-F2f7, was isolated from moribund red Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) farmed in Europe. In this communication, the complete genome sequencing of this bacterium is reported.
