ABSTRACT Clostridium algidicarnis causes blown-pack spoilage of vacuum-packed meat. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of C. algidicarnis strains CM002 and CM003, isolated from unspoiled chilled vacuum-packed lamb. The genome sequences of CM002 and CM003 comprise 2,950,326 and 2,870,995 bp, respectively, and each have a GC content of 30.1%.

The draft genome sequences for eight isolates of Campylobacter helveticus isolated from companion animals are described and compared with that of the type strain. On average, the genomes are 1,825,025 bp long and have a GC content of 34.4% and 1,885 coding DNA sequences (CDSs). CRISPRs were detected in only one isolate and phages in none.

ABSTRACT We present the draft genome sequence of Clostridium estertheticum strain CEST001. The genome is 4.8 Mbp long with a GC content of 30.6%. The digital DNA-DNA hybridization values against four C. estertheticum strains indicate that C. estertheticum CEST001 belongs to a novel subspecies of C. estertheticum.

ABSTRACT Pseudomonas sp. strain 382 and Pantoea coffeiphila 342 are two endophytic bacterial strains isolated from Paullinia cupana (guarana) seeds. Their draft genome sizes were 5.96 and 6.38 Mbp, with 315 and 266 scaffolds and 52% and 62% GC content, respectively.

ABSTRACT We present the draft genome sequences of three Burkholderia thailandensis strains, E421, E426, and DW503. E421 consists of 90 contigs of 6,639,935 bp and 67.73% GC content. E426 consists of 106 contigs of 6,587,853 bp and 67.73% GC content. DW503 consists of 102 contigs of 6,458,767 bp and 67.64% GC content.

Here, we report 12 draft genome sequences of mutant Mycolicibacterium smegmatis strains resistant to imidazo[1,2-b][1,2,4,5]tetrazines, which are antituberculosis drug candidates. We have identified 7 different mutations in the MSMEG_1380 gene, which encodes the AcrR/TetR_N transcriptional repressor, which may activate efflux-mediated resistance.

Flavobacterium psychrophilum is a Gram-negative, psychrophilic bacterium within the family Flavobacteriaceae. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of three F. psychrophilum strains isolated from skin ulcers of diseased ayu caught by tomozuri angling at three sites in the Kagami River in Japan.

Draft genomes of two strains of Escherichia coli, FP2 and FP3, isolated from the feces of the Canada goose (Branta canadensis), were sequenced. Genome sizes were 5.26 Mb with a predicted G+C content of 50.54% (FP2) and 5.07 Mb with a predicted G+C content of 50.41% (FP3).

ABSTRACT Here, we report draft genome sequences of historical strains of Coxiella burnetii derived from cow’s milk and the placenta of a goat that had aborted. The California and Ohio milk strains display a different sequence type than do contemporary milk strains.
