Flavobacterium psychrophilum is a Gram-negative, psychrophilic bacterium within the family Flavobacteriaceae. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of three F. psychrophilum strains isolated from skin ulcers of diseased ayu caught by tomozuri angling at three sites in the Kagami River in Japan.

The genus Chryseobacterium, belonging to the family Flavobacteriaceae, contains Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented, rod-shaped, and non-spore-forming bacterial species, which may be free living or parasitic. Here, we report draft genome sequences of type strains of three species of Chryseobacterium containing genes related to biological control and plant growth promotion.

Flavobacterium psychrophilum causes bacterial cold-water disease in ayu inhabiting clear rivers in Japan. In this study, we report the draft genome sequences of six F. psychrophilum strains isolated from the gills and skin of dead juvenile ayu near the mouth of the Nahari River.

Vibrio vulnificus is a Gram-negative bacterium and an opportunistic pathogen that can cause septicemia or necrotizing fasciitis. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of 42 environmental V. vulnificus strains collected from the northern Gulf of Mexico. These data will allow for more robust comparisons between clinical and environmental strains.

ABSTRACT Sphingomonas mucosissima and Sphingomonas dokdonensis are Gram-negative chemoheterotrophic strictly aerobic rods or cocci. The genomes (3.453 Mb and 3.587 Mb, respectively) contain 3,279 and 3,329 predicted protein-encoding genes, respectively. The genome of S. dokdonensis harbors a 90-kb plasmid.

Methylacidimicrobium cyclopophantes 3B and Methylacidimicrobium tartarophylax 4AC are Gram-negative rod-shaped mesophilic methanotrophs isolated from soil samples with low pH at the Solfatara Crater, near Naples, Italy. The genomes of these extremophilic verrucomicrobia were sequenced using Illumina technology, and both species possess one pmoCAB operon and two xoxF genes.

Aeromonas schubertii is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium. It is a rare species that has been reported in humans and aquatic animals. Here, we report the genome sequences of A. schubertii strains isolated from two mass mortality events in central Thailand that were associated with aquaculture of Asian seabass.

ABSTRACT Riemerella anatipestifer is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the family Flavobacteriaceae. It is primarily associated with acute septicemia in younger birds. The R. anatipestifer isolate 17CS0503 described here was isolated from a Peking duck (Anas platyrhynchos domesticus) in Hannover, Germany, in 1999.

ABSTRACT No genome sequence of a species from Barnettozyma, a yeast genus in the family Phaffomycetaceae, is currently available. We isolated two B. californica strains from soils in Ireland and generated draft sequences of their 11.7-Mb genomes. Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis showed 20,490 differences between the strains and suggests that B. californica is haploid.
