Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a prevalent nosocomial pathogen with multidrug resistance. Here, we describe the complete genome of S. maltophilia myophage Moby, which shares characteristics with Enterobacteria phage T4 and is closely related to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1. Moby has a 159,365-bp genome with 271 predicted protein-coding genes and 24 predicted tRNAs.

ABSTRACT Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a Gram-negative pathogen causing severe and often refractory illnesses such as pneumonia and bacteremia. We present the genome of phage Salva, a novel S. maltophilia phage that is not closely related to any phages currently deposited in GenBank. The genome is 60,789 bp, containing 102 putative protein-coding genes.

ABSTRACT Acinetobacter indicus (Gammaproteobacteria) is a strict aerobic nonmotile bacterium. The strain SGAir0564 was isolated from air samples collected in Singapore. The complete genome is 3.1 Mb and was assembled using a combination of short and long reads. The genome contains 2,808 protein-coding genes, 80 tRNAs, and 21 rRNA subunits.

Escherichia coli is a Gram-negative bacterium often found in animal intestinal tracts. Here, we present the genome of the Guernseyvirinae-like E. coli 4s siphophage Snoke. The 44.4-kb genome contains 81 protein-coding genes, for which 33 functions were predicted. The capsid morphogenesis gene in Snoke contains a large intein.

We report the complete genome sequence of the anaerobic, sulfonate-respiring, sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio desulfuricans IC1. The genome was assembled into a single 3.25-Mb circular chromosome with 2,680 protein-coding genes identified. Sequencing of sulfonate-metabolizing anaerobes is key for understanding sulfonate degradation and its role in the sulfur cycle.

Burkholderia sp. strain THE68 is a bacterial symbiont isolated from the midgut crypts of a phytophagous stink bug, Togo hemipterus. Here, we report the complete 7.98-Mb genome of this symbiont, which consists of six circular replicons containing 7,238 protein coding genes.

Bacteriophage ΦXaF18 infects Xanthomonas vesicatoria, which is the causal agent of bacterial spot in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). In this announcement, we present the complete genome of X. vesicatoria bacteriophage ΦXaF18, a 47,407-bp genome with 67 protein-coding genes.

We report here the complete genome sequence of the spore-forming Bacillus sp. strain VT 712 isolated from the duodenum of a patient with intestinal cancer. The genome is 3,921,583 bp, with 37.9% G+C content. It contains 3,768 predicted protein-coding genes for multidrug resistance transporters, virulence factors, and daunorubicin resistance.
