A nonidentifiable mycolicibacterium was isolated from a malignant lymphoma patient treated with intensive chemoimmunotherapy. Multilocus sequence analysis showed that this isolate was close to “Mycolicibacterium (Mycobacterium) ratisbonense,” but the details of this species were still unknown.

ABSTRACT We report the draft genome sequence (143 contigs, with a total length of 2,424,805 bp and an N50 value of 36,066 bp) of a bacterium isolated from an aggressive periodontal lesion in a patient. We assigned strain HSUH001 to Neisseria mucosa through a multilocus sequence analysis.

We report here the draft genome sequence of a Chryseobacterium indologenes strain, isolated from a blood culture of a 2.2-year-old child admitted to the hospital for vomiting and coughing. The genome was composed of 5,063,674 bp and had 37.04% GC content. We detected 4,796 genes with predicted protein-coding functions, including those associated with antibiotic resistance.

ABSTRACTA draft genome sequence ofActinomyces massiliensis, an anaerobic bacterium isolated from a patient's blood culture, is described here. CRISPR-associated proteins, insertion sequences, and toxin-antitoxin loci were found on the genome.

ABSTRACT The genome of the intimin (eae)-harboring Escherichia albertii strain MBT-EA1, isolated from lettuce in Germany, was sequenced. Sequence analysis showed the assembled draft genome size to be 4,560,948 bp, containing a predicted total of 4,414 protein-encoding genes, 11 rRNAs, and 82 tRNAs. Furthermore, three plasmid sequences were found.

ABSTRACT We report here the genome sequence of Vibrio campbellii LB102, isolated from the broodstock rearing system of a shrimp hatchery in India. Sequence analysis revealed the presence of effector toxins of the type III (YopT, sharing 39% identity with Yersinia pestis) and type VI (VgrG-3 and hemolysin coregulated protein of V. cholerae) secretion systems.

ABSTRACT We sequenced a naturally competent bacterial isolate, WY10, cultured from a Wyoming soil sample. Sequence analysis revealed that WY10 is a novel strain of Bacillus simplex. To our knowledge, WY10 is the first B. simplex strain to be characterized as naturally competent for DNA uptake by transformation.

From garden soil, we isolated and sequenced Massilia sp. strain ONC3, a new member of the Oxalobacteraceae within the Massilia genus. Sequence analysis showed an assembled genome size of 5,622,601 bp, with a predicted total of 5,104 protein-coding sequences, 3,194 functionally assigned genes, 2 rRNA operons, and 56 tRNAs.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Bacteroides fragilis strain Z&Z143, a metronidazole-resistant bacterium isolated from a blood culture from an Ecuadorian patient hospitalized in a medical institution in Quito, Ecuador. We describe a new variant of the nim genes, which is associated with metronidazole resistance.

ABSTRACT Candida pseudohaemulonii is phylogenetically close to the C. haemulonii complex and exhibits resistance to amphotericin B and azole agents. We report here the draft genome sequence of C. pseudohaemulonii UZ153_17 isolated from the blood culture of a neutropenic patient. The draft genome is 3,532,003,666 bp in length, with 579,838 reads, 130 contigs, and a G+C content of 47.15%.
