The present paper explores the role of erythrocytes in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases. The state of erythrocytes, their ionic composition and structure, and properties of erythrocytes hemoglobin were studied by using laser interference microscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy, and capillary electrophoresis. In patients suffering from vascular disorders we identified statistically significant changes in the shape of erythrocytes, their ionic composition, and redistribution of hemoglobin throughout cells.

Oligo(acrylic acid) efficiently stabilizes polymeric particles, especially particles produced by reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) (as hydrophilic block of an amphiphilic copolymer). Capillary electrophoresis (CE) has a far higher resolution power to separate these oligomers than the commonly used size exclusion chromatography. Coupling CE to electrospray ionization mass spectrometric detection unravels the separation mechanism. CE separates these oligomers, not only according to their degree of polymerization, but also according to their tacticity, in agreement with NMR analysis. Such analysis will provide insight into the role of these oligomers as stabilizers in emulsion polymerization, and into the mechanism of the RAFT polymerization with respect to degree of polymerization and tacticity.

Aim. To conduct an analysis of STR-loci in cases of exclusion during the paternity expertise, analyze the distribution of their frequencies. Materials and methods. 364 paternity expertises (non-exclusion and exclusion) were studied, in which a molecular genetic study of the blood of all participants was carried out by the method of capillary electrophoresis. Results. Paternity was excluded out of 364 examinations in 72 cases. Of these, in 68 cases, samples for research were taken from the mother, the alleged father and the child. Groups I and II were formed. Group I included examinations in which both the mother and the child were born in the Tyumen region (53 cases). Group II included examinations in which either the mother or the child was born outside the Tyumen region (15 cases). The frequency of distribution of the loci involved in exclusion and the most frequent alleles among those found were determined. Conclusion. It was found that the role of a locus in exclusion cases does not directly depend on its polymorphism and / or frequency of mutations. Establishing the loci most often involved in excluding kinship allows the use of predominantly such more informative loci or panels containing such loci when investigating kinship in a particular geographic locality.

AbstractIntroduction: In the present work we evaluated the complexation role of cyclodextrins toward fluoroquinolones in an attempt to assess their potential as new formulation additives for more efficient fluoroquinolone delivery and as selectors in capillary electrophoresis.Material and method: Guest-host interactions of two second generation quinolones, ciprofloxacin and norfloxacin with four cyclodextrins, beta-cyclodextrin (β-CD), gamma-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) and two beta-cyclodextrin derivatives, 2-hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and randomly methylated beta-cyclodextrin (RAMEB), were tested by capillary electrophoresis in borate running buffer. Experimental parameters like buffer concentration, pH, organic modifier, voltage and cyclodextrin concentration have been varied for a better resolution.Results: In capillary zone electrophoresis ciprofloxacin and norfloxacin are migrating together, a difference in their migration times and thus separation occured by the addition of cyclodextrins.Conclusion: Our results suggest formation of inclusion complexes between fluoroquinolones and cyclodextrins. Differences in their affinity to host molecules resulted in separation of the two fluoroquinolones
