A proposal to study the effect of interaction in an agegraphic dark energy model in DGP brane-world cosmology is presented in this paper. After explaining the details, we proceed to apply the dynamical system approach to the model to analyze its stability. We first constrain model parameters with a variety of independent observational data such as cosmic microwave background anisotropies, baryon acoustic oscillation peaks and observational Hubble data. Then, we obtain the critical points related to different cosmological epochs. In particular, we conclude that in the presence of interaction, dark energy dominated era could be a stable point if model parameters n and [Formula: see text], obey a given constraint. Also, big rip singularity is avoidable in this model.

In this paper we investigate a simple parametrization scheme of the quintessence model given by Wetterich [Phys. Lett. B594, 17 (2004)]. The crucial parameter of this model is the bending parameter b, which is related to the amount of dark energy in the early universe. Using the linear perturbation and the spherical infall approximations, we investigate the evolution of matter density perturbations in the variable dark energy model, and obtain an analytical expression for the growth index f. We show that increasing b leads to less growth of the density contrast δ, and also decreases the growth index. Giving a fitting formula for the growth index at the present time, we verify that the approximation relation [Formula: see text] also holds in this model. To compare predictions of the model with observations, we use the Supernovae type Ia (SNIa) Gold Sample and the parameters of the large scale structure determined by the 2-degree Field Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS). The best fit values for the model parameters by marginalizing on the remained ones, are [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] at 1σ confidence level. As a final test we calculate the age of universe for different choices of the free parameters in this model and compare it with the age of old stars and some high redshift objects. Then we show that the predictions of this variable dark energy model are consistent with the age observation of old star and can solve the "age crisis" problem.

A modified Brans–Dicke theory (abbreviated as GBD) is proposed by generalizing the Ricci scalar [Formula: see text] to an arbitrary function [Formula: see text] in the original BD action. It can be found that the GBD theory has some interesting properties, such as solving the problem of PPN value without introducing the so-called chameleon mechanism (comparing with the [Formula: see text] modified gravity), making the state parameter to crossover the phantom boundary: [Formula: see text] without introducing the negative kinetic term (comparing with the quintom model). In the GBD theory, the gravitational field equation and the cosmological evolutional equations have been derived. In the framework of cosmology, we apply the dynamical system approach to investigate the stability of the GBD model. A five-variable cosmological dynamical system and three critical points ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text]) are obtained in the GBD model. After calculation, it is shown that the critical point [Formula: see text] corresponds to the radiation dominated universe and it is unstable. The critical point [Formula: see text] is unstable, which corresponds to the geometrical dark energy dominated universe. While for case of [Formula: see text], according to the center manifold theory, this critical point is stable, and it corresponds to geometrical dark energy dominated de Sitter universe ([Formula: see text]).

In this paper, we first obtain the energy density by the approach of the new agegraphic dark energy model, and then the [Formula: see text] gravity model is studied as an alternative to the dark energy in a viscous fluid by flat-FRW background, in which [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are torsion scalar and boundary term. The Friedmann equations will be obtained in the framework of modified teleparallel gravity by tetrad components. We consider that the universe dominates with components such as matter and dark energy by an interacting model. The Hubble parameter is parameterized by the power-law for the scale factor, and then we fit the corresponding Hubble parameter with observational data constraints. The variation of the equation of state (EoS) for dark energy is plotted as a function of the redshift parameter, and the accelerated expansion of the universe is explored. In what follows, the stability of the model is also studied on the base of the sound speed parameter. Finally, the generalized second law of thermodynamics is investigated by entropies of inside and on the boundary of the apparent horizon in thermodynamics equilibrium.

We investigate the cosmological evolution of the new-agegraphic dark energy model which was recently proposed to explain the dark energy-dominated universe. For this purpose, we derived differential equations for density parameters and solved them numerically. We found that there exist a critical value for undetermined parameter of new-agegraphic density to obtain a stable and accessible evolution in the far past. Furthermore, this parameter seems to be fixed as the critical value for consistence.
