The top quark pair production and decay are considered in the framework of the smeared-mass unstable particles model. The results for total and differential cross-sections in vicinity of [Formula: see text] threshold are in good agreement with the previous ones in the literature. The strategy of calculations of the higher order corrections in the framework of the model is discussed. Suggested approach significantly simplifies calculations compared to the standard perturbative one and can serve as a convenient tool for fast and precise preliminary analysis of processes involving intermediate timelike top quark exchanges in the near-threshold region.

Near-threshold production of neutral boson pairs is considered within the framework of the model of unstable particles with smeared mass. The results of calculations are in good agreement with LEP II data and Monte Carlo simulations. Suggested approach significantly simplifies calculations with respect to standard perturbative one.

The latest top quark studies in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 and 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector are reported. We present recent results on the top pair production inclusive cross-sections, top pair production differential cross-section in the resolved and boosted regimes, single top-quark production cross-sections measured in the t-channel, s-channel and W-boson associated processes, as well as the determination of the CKM matrix element [Formula: see text]. The results are compared with theoretical expectations. Latest ATLAS results on top properties will be also shown in terms of direct and pole mass, spin correlations and charge asymmetry.

A preliminary analysis of the lepton-pair production in e+e- annihilations at LEP2 center-of-mass energies using the data collected between 130 GeV and LEP2 highest energies (i.e. exceeding 205 GeV) with the DELPHI detector is presented. The values obtained for the cross-sections and forword-backward asymmetries are used to test the Standard Model predictions and to derive limits for possible new physics phenomena beyond it.

In the off-diagonal basis, we explore the effects of extra neutral gauge boson Z' predicted in two versions of SU (3)C × SU (3)L × U (1)X model on the spin configuration of the top quark pair production in the high energy linear e+e- collider (ILC). Our numerical results show that, the cross sections for the suppressed spin configurations can be enhanced with the effects of the Z' boson through the modification of the spin configuration by producing enough top quark pairs to be measured in the future ILC experiments, which provides the way to observe the effects of Z' predicted in the 3-3-1 model and discriminate the various versions of 3-3-1 model.
