Recently, Japanese enterprises have been promoting global production to realize uniform quality worldwide and production at optimal locations for severe competition. The authors attempt to propose New JIT (Just in Time) as a new management technology principle for manufacturing in the 21st century. Therefore, this paper concentrates on verifying the effectiveness of the authors' proposed Advanced TPS to success in global production by excellent manufacturing technology as the key to New JIT at Toyota. So far, the authors have established strategic manufacturing technology for the Lean Production called TPS-LAS (Toyota Production System - Process Layout Analysis Simulation) by using Process Layout CAE System. TPS-LAS model contains the three-core system with logistics investigation simulation, digital factory simulation and workability investigation simulation.

Shipbuilding is a convoluted process. The production system of a shipyard can be illustrated by using the concept of a pull production system. Lean is based on the principle of a pull production system. The shipbuilding process is improved significantly but the lean production system is introduced at very small scales. In a shipyard, different types of wastages such as scraps, overproductions, idle times, etc. are produced, lean is a just-in-time production system that can focus on the elimination of these wastages to ensure lower costs and lower production times and higher quality products as well as better service and delivery. Simulation modeling is used to evaluate the performance of the production system and kanban is a pull-type scheduling method that can be used to simulate the pull production system of a shipyard for the optimization analysis. The goals of this article are to identify the important wastages in a shipyard that can increase production time and cost, to design the production system of a shipyard based on lean philosophy, to derive the basic principles of the lean manufacturing as well as to develop the control mechanism of this production system, the simulation analysis of the production system done by using the lean principle, and to identify the limitations for applying the lean production system in a shipyard production.

The foundation for advancing the Toyota Production System (TPS) is based on efforts to attain simultaneous acheivement of QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) through innovation of manufacturing technology utilizing New JIT new management technology principle for manufacturing in the 21st century. This new principle contains hardware and software systems, "TMS, TDS, TPS and Science TQM" as the next generation technical principles to accelerate the optimization (high-linkage) of business process cycles of all the divisions. This in turn is accomplished by having cooperation between on-site "white-collar engineers" and "supervisors and workers" with affiliated and non-affiliated suppliers. The author believes that effectiveness of advancing TPS has been demonstrated as described based on the author's experienced at Toyota.

Business in modern business conditions requires a continuous process of improvement and investment in all activities in the company. In order to survive on the market, resist the challenges of competition, but also the demands of customers, companies are constantly innovating the production process in an effort to improve all the company's activities. One of the production systems that proved to be suitable for continuous improvement and improvement of the production process is Lean production system. It represents the way companies react to the challenges of the present and the future. The Lean production system offers a variety of instruments, and for their implementation and application, managers are at all levels of responsibility and responsibility. Bearing this in mind, it can be said that the Lean production system is part of the management accounting. In addition, it represents a complete philosophy of thinking and action, which results in significant results by adequate application. The condition and the assumption that this management philosophy will lead to proper effectiveness and efficiency and enable them to continually improve in the function of maximizing profits is the authorization of employees to engage in the process of continuous improvement and decision-making. Lean is based on certain principles and philosophies, including customer value, value flow mapping, continuous flow, system requirements, and continuous improvements. Lean focuses on the added value. Lean's principle is a continuous search for perfection, perfection in production and business cooperation, with complete elimination of losses. Companies that implement the Lean Concept are constantly looking for ways to continually improve their efficiency, reduce costs and improve the quality of their products.

Manufacturing can be defined as applying physical and/or chemical processes to modify the structure, properties, and appearance of a given starting material to produce parts or products. Manufacturing often entails combining multiple elements for the creation of assembled products. This study aimed to establish a general understanding of development production planning and control and typical products such as just in time and lean production. Method of this study through literature review. This study described activities related to production planning and production control, the difference between lean production and traditional production (push system), and the structure of lean production as known as Toyota system manufacturing.
