Multicast routing is an effective way to transmit messages to multiple hosts in a network. However, it is vulnerable to intermittent connectivity property in mobile ad hoc network (MANET) especially for multimedia applications, which have some quality of service (QoS) requirements. The goal of QoS provisioning is to well organize network resources to satisfy the QoS requirement and achieve good network delivery services. However, there remains a challenge to provide QoS solutions and maintain end-to-end QoS with user mobility. In this paper, a novel penalty adjustment method based on the rough set theory is proposed to deal with path-delay constraints for multicast routing problems in MANETs. We formulate the problem as a constrained optimization problem, where the objective function is to minimize the total cost of the multicast tree subject to QoS constraints. The RPGA is evaluated on three multicast scenarios and compared with two state-of-the-art methods in terms of cost, success rate, and time complexity. The performance analyses show that this approach is a self-adaptive method for penalty adjustment. Remarkably, the method can address a variety of constrained multicast routing problems even though the initial routes do not satisfy all QoS requirements.

Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a wireless networks without fixed infrastructure, where each node can interact with its one hop distance neighbors only. Since the nodes are continuously moving from one location to another location, the network topology is not constant. Provisioning of Quality of Service (QoS) in MANETs is a challenging task because of its unstable nature. In multicast routing protocol, a sender node is sending the data to the group of members (multiple destination nodes), where the intermediate nodes resources are consumed at higher rate. In this paper, utilization of node resources (QoS parameters) is minimized by considering node attitude (trust) and load balancing. Here node energy and link bandwidth are considered as the QoS parameters. The proposed method "Enhanced QoS Multicast Routing Protocol in MANETs Using Trust and Load Balance-QMTL" identifies the intermediate nodes with higher trust values and constructs the multicast tree with optimized load balance. The performance of proposed method is analyzed theoretically (using asymptotic notations) and practically (using simulation tool-ns2)..

Mobile ad hoc network is a collection of wireless nodes that dynamically organize themselves to form a network without the need for any fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. The network topology dynamically changes frequently in an unpredictable manner since nodes are free to move. Support for multicasting is essential in such environment as it is considered to be an efficient way to deliver information from source nodes to many client nodes. On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol is a protocol for routing multicast and unicast traffic throughout adhoc wireless mesh networks. ODMRP creates routes on demand so they suffer from a route acquisition delay, although it helps reduce network traffic in general. In future this  results will be compared with AODV and FSR protocol and ODMRP performs better as compared with AODV and FSR protocol.

This research paper proposes the “mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) need aid autonomously self-organized networks without framework backing”. For a “mobile ad hoc network, nodes move arbitrarily”; consequently that network might background fast also random topology changes. In view nodes previously, a MANET regularly have set transmission ranges, a percentage node can't correspond specifically with one another. Hence, routing path in mobile networks possibly hold numerous hops, each hub to mobile networks need the obligation on go about as a switch. This paper is an review from research work on “routing protocol for MANET, Mobile Ad Hoc Network” has as of late increased a ton of fame among computer researchers and specialists. “A MANET is an infrastructure less network” with a lot of dynamic, versatile and self-arranging hubs. A MANET is a self-conFigureuring system of mobile hosts connected by wireless links. The routers are free to move randomly and organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's wireless topology may change rapidly and unpredictably. Routing is the process of exchanging information from one station to the other stations of the network. Multicasting is a popular mechanism for supporting group communication. In a multicast session, the sender transmits only one copy of each message that is replicated within the network and delivered to multiple recipients. This multicast routing is highly deal with self-organized network in recent days due to its broadcast characteristics. However, devising multicast protocols to provide group communications in mobile ad-hoc networks is significantly more complicated, because of the wireless medium, changing topology, battery power and available bandwidth as well. This paper, evaluates two prominent on-demand multicast routing protocols for group communication, namely, Multicast Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) and On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol(ODMRP) as increasing number of multicast sources and receivers in both single-active multicast group and multi-active multicast group in the network.
