This study proposes a new comprehensive evaluation method with principal component reduction and catastrophe progression method, considering the complexity, hierarchy, contradiction, and relevance of the factors in sortie generation of carrier aircrafts. First of all, the index system of sortie generation capacity is ascertained, which contains correlative indexes. The principal component reduction method is applied to transform the correlative indexes into independent indexes. This method eliminates the effect of correlativity among indexes. The principal components are determined with their contributions. Then the reduced principal components are evaluated in catastrophe progression method. This method is easy to realize without weights, which is more objective. In fact, catastrophe progression method is a multidimensional fuzzy membership function, which is suitable for the incompatible multiobjective evaluation. Thus, a two-level evaluation method for sortie generation capacity of carrier aircrafts is realized with principal component reduction and catastrophe progression method. Finally, the Surge operation of aircraft carrier “Nimitz” is taken as an example to evaluate the sortie generation capacity. The results of the proposed method are compared with those of Analytic Hierarchy Process, which verify the usefulness and reliability of the proposed method.

Adaptation evaluation index system is established according to the influences brought by the distributed generations (DGs) interconnected with the distribution network. Evaluation indicators are proposed to reflect the operating conditions of distribution lines, switches and other important devices of distribution network. Combine Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method is used to determine the weights of the evaluation indicators. Whereby obtain the comprehensive evaluation results of distribution equipment adaptation to DGs integration. A study of a practical grid is made in the cases of the DGs centralized integration, decentralized integration, and without DGs. The simulated result shows that a large number of DGs connected with the distribution network would deteriorate a majority of the equipment operating indicators, especially to the indexes related to switches and protection devices. Meanwhile, when a distribution network is connected into the same capacity of DGs, the distribution equipment would show a better adaptation to DGs' decentralized integration.

On the basis of expert questionnaire and the relevant specification, multi-factors influencing weight matrix was constructed by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) improved in transfer matrix algorithm, and influential factors were fuzzy classified to construct the fuzzy evaluation matrix by using trapezoidal fuzzy membership function. Fuzzy evaluation analysis was carried out through multistage fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and verified in combination with engineering construction condition of shallow buried tunnel with large span of Zhongshan Park Station in Qingdao Metro, and four kinds of risk control schemes were established and compared on the analysis of tunnel construction risk. Results show that the model was feasible and the improved construction scheme was very effective to reduce the construction risk.

In this study, a hydrochemical investigation was conducted in Shuangliao city to identify the hydrochemical characteristics and the quality of groundwater using descriptive statistics and correlation matrices. And on that basis, combined with Analytic hierarchy process (AHP), an improved two-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluate the groundwater quality. The results indicate that the major cations and anions in groundwater are Ca2+ and HCO3-, respectively. The chemical types are mainly HCO3—Ca type water, some areas are complicated due to the influence of human activities. The evaluation results show that the water quality in the area is mostly III type water, and the groundwater quality in some areas is IV or V water due to the influence of primary geological conditions or human activities. The groundwater quality in the East Liaohe River Valley and Shuangliao urban area is relatively poor, and in the northwest part which is the saline alkali soil area is also relatively poor.

Increasing traffic volume and insufficient road lanes often require municipal roads to be reconstructed and expanded. Where a road passes under a bridge, the reconstruction and expansion project will inevitably have an impact on the bridge. To evaluate the safety impact of road engineering projects on bridges, this paper evaluates the safety of the roads and ancillary facilities of highway bridges involved in municipal road engineering projects. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the safety factors of municipal roads undercrossing existing bridges, a fuzzy comprehensive analytic hierarchy process (AHP) evaluation method for the influence of road construction on the safety of existing bridges is proposed. First, AHP is used to select 11 evaluation factors. Second, the target layer, criterion layer, and index layer of evaluation factors are established, then a safety evaluation factor system is formed. The three-scale AHP model is used to determine the weight of assessment indexes. Third, through the fuzzy comprehensive AHP evaluation model, the fuzzy hierarchical comprehensive evaluation is carried out for the safety assessment index system. Finally, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is applied to the engineering example of a municipal road undercrossing an existing expressway bridge. The comprehensive safety evaluation of the existing bridge reflects the practicability and feasibility of the method. It is expected that, with further development, the method will improve the decision-making process in bridge safety assessment systems.

In order to study the influence of distributed power access on the security state of distribution network, a comprehensive evaluation method for the security state of distribution network including distributed power access was proposed.Based on the output model and load model of photovoltaic power supply, the security situation assessment index system of distributed power supply access distribution network is established. Then combined with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method, the composite weight of each index is obtained, and the combined weight is optimized based on chi-square distance. Finally, the evaluation method based on ER algorithm (Evidential Reasoning) is proposed. Simulation results verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method.

For the traditional multi-process capability construction method based on principal component analysis, the process variables are mainly considered, but not the process capability, which leads to the deviation of the contribution rate of principal component. In response to the question, this paper first clarifies the problem from two aspects: theoretical analysis and example proof. Secondly, aiming at the rationality of principal components degree, an evaluation method for pre-processing data before constructing MPCI using PCA is proposed. The pre-processing of data is mainly to standardize the specification interval of quality characteristics making the principal components degree more reasonable and optimizes the process capability evaluation method. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the method are proved by an application example.
