A new species of Arabis L. (Brassicaceae), A. erecta Y.Y. Kim & C.G. Jang, was discovered in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Republic of Korea and is described and illustrated here. The species is similar to A. stelleri DC. and A. takesimana Nakai in its general vegetative and floral morphology. However, the new species is distinguished by its glabrous leaves surface, not inflated receptacle, and fruiting pedicels and siliques appressed to the rachis. In addition, the diagnostic characters between related species, an identification key, and a distribution map are provided.

In this study, Fritillaria arsusiana (Liliaceae) is described and illustrated as a new species from Hatay province in southern Anatolia, Turkey. It is related to F. amana and F. hermonis by habitus features and broadly campanulate flowers, but differs mainly by its bulb shape and size, smaller leaf and flower features, and flower colour. It has also been morphologically compared with F. wendelboi, F. pinardii, and F. latakiensis. The detailed description, diagnostic characters, original photographs, geographical distribution, habitat and phenology, etymology, conservation status, and identification key of the new and the related species are presented in this study. IUCN conservation status of F. arsusiana is suggested as Critically Endangered (CR).

A new species, Arabis kaynakiae Daşkın (Brassicaceae), is described and illustrated from Turkey. The species grows on calcareous rocks in the Gülnar district (C4 Mersin province) in south Anatolia. It is allied to Arabis carduchorum, A. androsacea and A. alanyensis. The description, diagnostic characters and identification key are provided and its relationship with closely related taxa is discussed. The ecology and conservation status of the new species, in addition to the geographical distribution of the species and other related species are also presented.

Lactuca anatolica is described as a new species from the province of Bingöl, and is known from only one locality. Its diagnostic characters are discussed, and taxonomic comments are presented. Lactuca anatolica is similar to L. leucoclada, L. orientalis subsp. nuristanica and L. orientalis subsp. orientalis but differs from these species in achenes, indumentum and leaves. Its achenes were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data on ecology and IUCN conservation status of the new species are also presented. A distribution map of the new and related species is provided.

An attractive and interesting new species, Muscari savranii Uysal & Doğu (Asparagaceae) is described and illustrated from central Anatolia, Turkey. A complete morphological description, detailed photographs, and a distribution map are reported for the new species, including an identification key for related species. Muscari savranii grows on the inclined limestone slopes in the province of Kayseri, Turkey. The closest species appears to be Muscari tenuiflorum Tausch, a member of the subgenus Leopoldia (Parl.) Rouy. In this study, diagnostic micro-macro morphological characters are discussed and compared with related taxa. Moreover, M. savranii is characterized in terms of its chromosomal features and a comparison with its relatives is given.

Lepidaploa restingae, a new species from the restinga vegetation in Northeastern Brazil, is described and illustrated. This new species differs from morphologically related species by the branch indument, leaf morphology, number of phyllary series and corolla lobe indument. Taxonomic comments, a distribution map and a preliminary conservation status for the new species are provided.

A new species, Muscari inundatum (Asparagaceae) from Turkey, is described and illustrated. It is morphologically similar to M. neglectum and M. adilii, but differs mainly by its shouldered fertile flowers with erect to slightly recurved lobes at maturity. In this study, a comprehensive description, diagnostic characters, original photographs, detailed illustration, geographical distribution, conservation assessment, identification key, and taxonomic comments on the new species are presented.

A new species, Calea arachnoidea, which belongs to Calea sect. Meyeria, is hereby described and illustrated. This species occurs in the Serra Negra region, located in the southern portion of the “Zona da Mata” in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. Calea arachnoidea resembles C. quadrifolia, C. heteropappa and C. semirii, and its relationships with these species are discussed and an identification key for the species of C. sect. Meyeria in the state of Minas Gerais is provided. Additionally, photographs, a distribution map, comments about habitat and conservation status are provided.

A new species of water scavenger beetle, Laccobius (Glyptolaccobius) yinziweii sp. nov. is described from Yunnan, China. Diagnostic characters are illustrated. Laccobius (Cyclolaccobius) nitidus Gentili, 1984 is reported from Guizhou, Laccobius (Microlaccobius) hammondi Gentili, 1984 from Hubei, and Laccobius (s. str.) inopinus Gentili, 1980 from Guizhou for the first time. Additionally, an identification key to Laccobius (Glyptolaccobius) of the world is updated.
