Ceropegia chuakulii is a new species from eastern Thailand. Illustrations, photographs and comparison of diagnostic characters to the morphologically similar species, C. acicularis Kidyoo are provided. These two species are characterized by erect stems, needle-like leaves, one–flowered sessile inflorescences and spathulate corolla lobes that are connate at tips. Ceropegia chuakulii is, however, clearly distinguished from C. acicularis by its ovoid to globose corolla tube, corolla lobes being as long as corolla tube, deeply bifid interstamial corona lobes with triangular-lanceolate segments. In addition, the analyses of quantitative morphological traits of flowers also strongly supported the distinctiveness of the new species.

The Anthaxia (Anthaxia) midas Kiesenwetter, 1857 species-group is defined and revised. A new species from Turkey, A. (A.) cebecii sp. nov., is described and compared to its most similar species. A. midas oberthuri Schaefer, 1938 is elevated to the rank of species, and a lectotype is designated. A. (A.) spathuligera Obenberger, 1924 and A. (A.) midas muelleri Obenberger, 1925 are reconfirmed synonyms of A. midas Kiesenwetter, 1857.All species of the new species-group are illustrated, including the hitherto unknown male of A. (A.) patsyae Baiocchi, 2008, all type specimens and original data labels. In addition to diagnostic characters, informations on the distribution, biology and taxonomic position of each species are also presented, together with a short definition of the new species-group, and a key to its species.

In northwestern Victoria, Australia, the Pterostylis (Orchidaceae) section Oligochaetochilus ‘rufa group’ comprises several little studied and poorly collected taxa. We surveyed populations of the rufa group in the Sunset Country, collecting information on the habitat and vegetation community. Fourteen sites were surveyed for plants with affinities to P. biseta and P. exelsa. We measured 23 morphological traits for each of 31 field-collected and seven herbarium specimens from this area. Multivariate analyses were undertaken, with cluster analysis and ordination performed on range-standardised data. Three distinct groups were present in both an ordination and dendrogram, with key diagnostic characters relating to the labellum. These groups were compared against other morphologically similar species of Pterostylis. Our analyses confirmed one of these groups as P. biseta, which is widespread in northwestern Victoria, and two as previously undescribed, putatively rare taxa, described here.

Salvia luteistriata, a new species from northeastern Sichuan, China, is described and illustrated here. The new species morphologically resembles S. maximowicziana, but it can be easily distinguished from the latter by having bigger maroon corolla with showy creamy-yellow vertical stripes in the internal ventral surface of corolla tube. Other diagnostic characters between them include that the new species has bigger leaf blade, longer bract and pedicel, bigger oblong upper corolla lip, and bigger mericarp. An identification key for the species in Salvia ser. Maximowiczianae, including S. luteistriata, is provided.

A new species of Gesneriaceae, Petrocodon luteoflorus Lei Cai & F.Wen was first described and illustrated from Maolan National Nature Reserve, Libo County, Guizhou Province, China. The diagnostic characters and notes of this species between its most morphologically similar species, P. dealbatus Hance, a detailed description, colour photographs, etymology, as well as distribution and habitat, are also provided in this paper.

A new species of the genus Odontocheila Laporte de Castelnau, 1834 is described from Venezuela as Odontocheila paraexcisipenis sp. nov. It is classified as a further species of the large O. cajennensis species-group and described subsequent to the recently published revision of the genus (Moravec (2018). Illustrations of the habitus, diagnostic characters and variability of the new species and distinguishing characters of similar species are presented in colour photographs. Revised key to species of the O. cajennensis species-group is presented with references to descriptions and illustrations of other species of the species-group in the above-cited taxonomic revision of the genus. An essential map of distribution is also given.

Kaempferia jenjittikuliae, a new species of Kaempferia subg. Protanthium (Zingiberaceae) from Central–Northeastern Thailand, is described and illustrated. The diagnostic characters of this novel taxon are discussed and compared with those of the morphologically similar species Kaempferia lopburiensis, K. rotunda and K. udonensis. Detailed photographs of plants and dissected flowers, and information on phenology, distribution and ecology, are provided. A preliminary IUCN conservation assessment of Critically Endangered (CR) is assigned.

Ceropegia tribounii Kidyoo (Apocynaceae, Asclepiadoideae), a recently discovered, endangered species from western Thailand, is described as new. Comprehensive descriptions, illustrations, photographs, and diagnostic comparisons with morphologically similar species, such as C. anjanerica, are provided here. Ceropegia tribounii can be easily recognized by its sessile, linear leaves and its broadly obovate corolla lobes that are shorter than the corolla tube, as well as by its interstaminal corona with a pilose inner surface.

A new species, Ainsliaea polystachya X. X. Su & M. J. Zhang is described from Fujian, China, based on morphological traits and molecular markers. The new species is distinct by open panicles, capitula bearing only one flower, and actinomorphic corolla. Keys to the morphologically similar species and phylogenetic allies are proposed.
