Two new species of the genus Geodromicus Redtenbacher, 1857 from Taiwan are described and illustrated: G. philydroides sp. n. (Nantou Hsien) and G. taiwanensis sp. n. (Kaohsiung Hsien, Hualien Hsien). Additional material and a new synonymy for G. ohkurai (Hayashi, 1992) = G. ohkurai yushanensis (Hayashi, 1992), syn. nov. are proposed. A key to species known from Taiwan is given.

Eighteen species currently placed in the genus Dryocoetiops Schedl, 1957, are reviewed. Two new species are described: Dryocoetiops pasohensis Beaver, Smith and Sanguansub, D. salebrosus Beaver, Smith and Sanguansub. The following new synonymy is proposed: Dryocoetiops apatoides (Eichhoff, 1875) (= Taphrorychus striatus Nobuchi, 1966, syn. n.); Dryocoetiops moestus (Blandford, 1894) (= Dryocoetes australis Schedl, 1942, syn. n., Dryocoetes coffeae Eggers, 1923, syn. n., = Dryocoetes dinoderoides Blandford, 1894, syn. n., = Dryocoetes eugeniae Schedl, 1942, syn. n., = Dryocoetes hirsutus Schedl, 1939, syn. n., = Dryocoetes javanus Eggers, 1936, syn. n., = Dryocoetes malaccensis Schedl, 1942, syn. n., = Pseudopoecilips taradakensis Murayama, 1957, syn. n., = Dryocoetes tonkinensis Schedl, 1942, syn. n.); Dryocoetiops semigranulatus (Eggers, 1936) (= Dryocoetes kepongi Schedl, 1953, syn. n.). The following new combinations are proposed: Coccotrypes flavicornis (Blandford, 1895) comb. n.; Procryphalus petioli (Beaver, 1990) comb. n., both from Dryocoetiops. A key is provided to the females of ten species remaining in Dryocoetiops; males remain unknown in the genus. The taxonomy, distribution and biology of the species are briefly reviewed, and some new distributional records included.

AbstractThe punctigera group of the genus Euxoa is defined on the basis of genitalic characters. Species included in this group are Euxoa punctigera (Wlk.), E. spumata McD., E. stigmatalis (Sm.), E. aurantiaca n. sp., and E. cana n. sp. Adults and genitalia of the species are illustrated and a key to species is included.

A new genus and species, Unguitarsonemus paradoxus n. gen., n. sp. and a new species, Pseudotarsonemoides peruviensis n. sp. (Acari: Trombidiformes: Tarsonemidae), are described based on phoretic females collected on bark beetles Phloeotribus pilula and Ph. biguttatus, respectively, from Peru. A key to species of the genus Pseudotarsonemoides is provided.

Elongationa gen. nov., a new leafhopper genus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Ledrinae) with one new species, E. hyalina sp. nov., is described and illustrated in detail. A checklist and key to species in the genus Midoria are provided including a new species, Midoria curvidentata sp. nov., described in this paper.

The genus Nirmides Hering, 1931 is revised. Nowadays it includes 17 species, known from Thailand, Vietnam and the Andamans to the Philippines. Eight species are described as new to science: N. siamasp. n. (Thailand), N. ihleisp. n. (Thailand), N. dianasp. n. (Andaman Islands), N. samaressp. n. (Philippines, Samar), N. lourensisp. n. (Philippines, Luzon), N. similissp. n. (Philippines, Mindanao), N. kanlaonensissp. n. (Philippines, Negros), and N. hollowayisp. n. (Borneo). Lectotypes are designated for Susica basalis Walker, 1862 and Nirmides basalis f. fusca Hering, 1931. The taxon Nirma micron van Eecke, 1929 is removed from synonymy with Nirmides basalis (Walker, 1862) and restored to a separate species. A new synonymy is proposed: Nirmides micron (van Eecke, 1929) = Nirmides manwahi Holloway, 1990, syn. n. The homology of the sclerites of the male genitalia is discussed; the musculature of the male genitalia is examined. A key to species is given.

Herein two new species of the genusSyngastesMonard, 1924 are described from South Korea, with detailed descriptions and illustrations. Both new copepods,Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. andS. pseudofoveatussp. nov., have two inner setae on the first exopodal segment of P2 and P3.Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. most closely resemblesS. gibbosusBartsch, 1999 reported from Australia, as they both have a five-segmented antennule in the female. However,Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. has a rounded body outline instead of the gibbose outline observed inS. gibbosus.Syngastespseudofoveatussp. nov. resemblesS. foveatusBartsch, 1994 in almost all aspects. However, they differ clearly in the number of setae on the first exopodal segment of P2 and P3. We also provide a key to species of the genusSyngastesworldwide. The present study is the first record of the family Tegastidae in Korean waters.

The presumed lost type of Arma pallipes Dallas is found and Thomas’s (1992) neotype is hereby set aside (ICZN 1999, Art. 75.8). A. pallipes is proposed as junior subjective synonym of Podisus ventralis (Dallas). A lectotype designation by inference of holotype (Gaedike 1971) is accepted for the female typical specimen of P. neniator deposited at Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (SDEI, Müncheberg, Germany) (ICZN 1999, Art. 74.6). Two new species of Podisus Herrich-Schäffer are described: Podisus graziae Brugnera, Roell & Lemaître sp. nov. and Podisus thomasi Lemaître, Roell & Brugnera sp. nov. Photographs of all types as well as of live specimens are provided.

On the 24th of June, 1885, a paper by me, entitled “Observations on some imperfectly known Madreporaria from the Cretaceous Formation of England,” was read at a meeting of the Geological Society which, encountering an adverse report from the referee, was with the consent of the Council, withdrawn by me, and published verbatim in the Geological Magazine of the same year (Dec. III, Vol. II, pp. 541–563, PI. XIV), 1885. The present communication is a continuation as well as a correction of the former one, which has become necessary from the acquisition of additional material.

Two new species of Bohayella Belokobylskij, 1987 from Costa Rica are described: Bohayella geraldinae Kang, sp. nov. and Bohayella hansoni Kang, sp. nov. These are new distribution records for the genus in the Neotropical region. In addition, a key to species of the genus Bohayella of Costa Rica is presented. The current work elevates the number of species included in Bohayella from nine to eleven.

The genus Parasogata Zhou, Yang & Chen, 2018 is here reported from India represented by the new species Parasogata sexpartita sp. nov. collected in a recent exploration and survey of delphacids from Nagaland in northeastern India. A second species of Eoeurysa Muir, 1913 from India, the new species Eoeurysa sagittaria sp. nov., was found in Rampur, Una, Himachal Pradesh. Both new species are described with illustrations, and a molecular identification is given with the mtCOI gene sequence. A modified key to species of the genera is also provided.
