The species-rich genus Eupines King of New Zealand is revised to include 48 species, with 22 known species redescribed. Twenty-two new species are described: Eupines (Byraxis) brevis sp. n., E. (B.) caesta sp. n., E. (B.) carinata sp. n., E. (B.) coalita sp. n., E. (B.) complector sp. n., E. (B.) dugdalei sp. n., E. (B.) gigas sp. n., E. (B.) graceae sp. n., E. (B.) huizhenae sp. n., E. (B.) hoarei sp. n., E. (B.) insolita sp. n., E. (B.) mayae sp. n., E. (B.) minuta sp. n., E. (B.) obtusa sp. n., E. (B.) ovalis sp. n., E. (B.) pannicula sp. n., E. (B.) petila sp. n., E. (B.) protibialis sp. n., E. (B.) whirinaki sp. n., E. (B.) waikaremoana sp. n., Eupines (Eupines) undecim sp. n. and Eupines novem sp. n. The following 11 synonymies are proposed: E. (B.) dispar (Sharp) (= E. (B.) munroi Broun syn. n.), E. (B.) hectori Broun (= E. (B.) diversides Newton syn. n.), E. (B.) impar (Sharp) (= E. (B.) sanguineua Broun syn. n., E. (B.) foveatissima Broun syn. n.), E. (B.) monstrosa (Reitter) (= E. (B.) rudicornis Broun syn. n., E. (B.) costata Broun syn. n.), E. (B.) mundula (Schaufuss) (= E. (B.) forficulida Broun syn. n.), E. (B.) paganus (Broun) (= E. (B.) allocera Broun syn. n., E. (B.) sylvicola Broun syn. n., E. (B.) rhyssarthra Broun syn. n.) and Eupinolus altulus (Broun) (= E. (E.) nasuta Broun syn. n.). New combinations are proposed for four species previously described in Eupines: Eupinolus calcaratus (Broun) new comb., Eupinolus nasutus (Broun) new comb., Gastrobothrus ignotus (Broun) new comb. and Gastrobothrus platynotus (Broun) new comb. A key and distribution maps for all New Zealand members of Eupines are provided.

The Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinean representatives of Hypogymia are reviewed. Photographs, keys and descriptions are given for the 11 species and five varieties. Two new species are described, H. enteromorphoides and H. kosciuskoensis, as well as a new variety, H. subphysodes var. austerodioides and six new combinations are made, namely H. lugubris var. sublugubris, H. lugubris var. compactior, H. pulchrilobata, H. pul- verata, H. tubularis and H. turgidula. Distribution of these taxa is discussed and maps have been provided. The species included in this revision are H. billardieri, H. enteromorphoides, H. kosciuskoensis, H. lugubris, H. mundata, H. pulchrilobata, H. pulverata, H. subphysodes, H. tubularis, H. turgidula and H. vittata.

A revision of the styphelioid genus Lissanthe recognises seven species and two subspecies: L. brevistyla A.R.Bean, L. sapida R.Br., L. strigosa (Sm.) R.Br. subsp. strigosa, L. strigosa subsp. subulata (R.Br.) J.M.Powell. New combinations are made for two species transferred from Leucopogon: Lissanthe rubicunda (F.Muell.) J.M.Powell, D.M.Crayn & E.A.Br. and Lissanthe pluriloculata (F.Muell.) J.M.Powell, D.M.Crayn & E.A.Br. Two new species from Western Australia, Lissanthe powelliae D.M.Crayn & E.A.Br. and L. scabra D.M.Crayn & E.A.Br. are described, and Lissanthe sapida is lectotypified. Keys, illustrations and distribution maps are provided for all taxa. Lissanthe as defined here is a strongly supported clade based on analyses of sequence data from two chloroplast loci, the atpB–rbcL intergenic spacer and the matK gene. Potential morphological synapomorphies for Lissanthe include flowers pedicellate above the bracteoles, styles hairy at least at the base, and leaves with an abaxial surface that is grooved longitudinally.

Eleven new Trichoptera species of the superfamily Sericostomatoidea are described from Madagascar. Three species within Helicopsychidae are described as Helicopsyche (Petrotrichia) ambodiva, new species, Helicopsyche (Petrotrichia) sahadika, new species, and Helicopsyche (Petrotrichia) ninakosha, new species; six species within the Petrothrincidae are described as Petrothrincus tsaratananensis, new species, Petrothrincus newidop, new species, Petrothrincus dhritaparam, new species, Petrothrincus pauliani, new species, Petrothrincus andohel, new species, and Petrothrincus andring, new species; and two new species within the Sericostomatidae are described as Cheimacheramus rossi, new species, and Rhoizema mahalevonum, new species. The genus Gyrocarisa Weaver 1997 is synonymized with Petrothrincus Barnard 1934, resulting in the new combinations Petrothrincus steineri (Weaver 1997), new combination, Petrothrincus concava (Weaver 1997), new combination, Petrothrincus acuta (Weaver 1997), new combination, Petrothrincus scottae (Malm & Johanson 2005), new combination, and Petrothrincus weaveri (Malm & Johanson 2005), new combination. A key is presented to males of all Sericostomatoidea species from Madagascar. Distribution maps are given for all new and previously described Madagascar species within the superfamily.

The southern South American species of the genus Philonthus Stephens, 1829 (Staphylininae: Staphylinini) are revised using characters of external morphology and male and female genitalia. Three species of Philonthus are transferred to the genus Belonuchus Nordmann, 1837 resulting in the following new combinations: B. aluticollis (Bernhauer, 1921), B. flavicoxis (Bernhauer, 1912) and B. weiserianus (Bernhauer, 1921). Twenty-five valid species are recognized for the region in the present study: Philonthus aeruginosus Nordmann 1837, P. argus Herman 2001, P. bicoloristylus ChaniPosse 2004, P. bonariensis Bernhauer 1909, P. convexicollis Lynch-Arribálzaga 1884, P. cribriventris Bernhauer 1912, P. discoideus (Gravenhorst, 1802), P. figulus Erichson 1840, P. flavolimbatus Erichson 1840, P. hepaticus Erichson 1840, P. jenseni Bernhauer 1912, P. longicornis Stephens 1832, P. lynchi Bernhauer & Schubert 1914, P. pallipes Blanchard 1842, P. pauxillus Solsky 1868, P. politus (Linnaeus, 1758), P. quadraticeps Boheman 1858, P. rectangulus Sharp 1874, P. rubromaculatus Blanchard 1842, P. ruficauda Bernhauer 1934, P. sericans (Gravenhorst, 1802), P. stenocephalus Scheerpeltz 1972, P. varians (Paykull, 1789). Two new species are described: P. floresi and P. bruchianus. Philonthus feralis Erichson 1840, previously recorded for this region, is also redescribed. Diagnoses, redescriptions or descriptions, illustrations, bionomic information and distribution maps for all species are presented. An identification key to the southern South American species of the genus is provided. Lectotypes are designated for Philonthus aeruginosus Nordmann 1837, P. aluticollis Bernhauer 1921, P. apicipennis Lynch-Arribálzaga 1884, P. convexicollis LynchArribálzaga 1884, P. figulus Erichson 1840, P. flavicoxis Bernhauer 1912, P. jenseni Bernhauer 1912, P. pallipes Blanchard 1842, P. rubromaculatus Blanchard 1842, P. stenocephalus Scheerpeltz 1972, P. tucumanensis Bernhauer 1934 and P. weiserianus Bernhauer, 1921.

The South American genus Panca Evans, 1955 and its respective species are revised. Previous to this study, the genus included solely its type species, Lerodea subpunctuli Hayward, 1934, until Panca moseri Dolibaina, Carneiro & O. Mielke, 2017 was described recently. However, as a result of a broader morphological study including closely related genera, we here propose that Panca assembles 12 species, most of which inhabit open environments such as the Cerrado biome and the natural grasslands of the Atlantic Forest biome. Eight species formerly included among other genera of Moncina are here combined with Panca: Panca satyr (Evans, 1955) comb. nov., Panca tobiasi (Mielke, 1992) comb. nov., Panca trogon (Evans, 1955) comb. nov., Panca steinhauseri (Dolibaina & A. Warren, 2015) comb. nov., Panca acroleuca (Plötz, 1884) comb. nov., and Panca mirnae (O. Mielke, Dolibaina, Carneiro & A. Warren, 2015) comb. nov. (all formerly in Artines Godman, 1901), Panca paulo (Bell, 1932) comb. nov. (formerly in Eutocus Godman, 1901), and Panca mictra (Evans, 1955) comb. nov. (formerly in Vidius Evans, 1955). Additionally, two new species are described from Brazil: Panca puri Medeiros, O. Mielke & Casagrande sp. nov. (from Pará, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Paraná) and Panca xavante Medeiros, O. Mielke & Dolibaina sp. nov. (from Mato Grosso, Goiás, Distrito Federal and Minas Gerais). A neotype for Apaustus acroleuca Plötz, 1884 is designated. Illustrations of the male and female genitalia and distribution maps are presented for all the species of Panca and an identification key is provided for both sexes.

AbstractAhnea keejeongi Park and Carlton (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae), a new genus and new species of New Zealand endemic beetle belonging to the supertribe Faronitae is described. Six previously described species are included to this genus and four species are synonymised as follow: Sagola dissonans Broun, 1921 and S. planicula Broun, 1921 under Ahnea ventralis (Broun, 1912); S. carinata Broun, 1912 and S. lineiceps Broun, 1921 under Ahnea lineata (Broun, 1893). A key to species, habitus photographs, line drawings of diagnostic characters, and distribution maps are provided.

Two new species, Prolixus nicholasi sp. nov. and Prolixus setifolius sp. nov., are described and illustrated from leaves of Gahnia setifolia (Cyperaceae) in Auckland, New Zealand. In this paper, we present the ontogenetic additions in idiosomal and the leg chaetotaxy from larva to adult. The adult male and female of P. setifolius have different leg setae, allowing all active life stages to be sexed. A key to world species of Prolixus is also proposed.
