The hot-pressing technology of cement bamboo particleboard was studied by changing hot-pressing temperature, adhesive/bamboo ratio, board density and additives amount of NaHCO3. Then variance analysis and regressive analysis were conducted on technological parameters. The results indicated that the optimizing technology parameters of cement bamboo particleboard are hot-pressing temperature 130 , adhesive/bamboo ratio 2.8, additives amount of NaHCO310%, boardl density 1.2g/cm3.

In the present study, Ti (C,N)/Al2O3nanocomposite ceramic die material was fabricated through adding nanosize Ti (C,N) powders into micrometer Al2O3matrix by vacuum hot-pressing technology. Effects of the hot press sintering process on mechanical property and microstructure of the nanocomposite ceramic die material were investigated. The optimum hot-pressing technology with the sintering temperature of 1650°C, time duration of 15min and pressure of 30MPa was achieved. The microstructural morphology of the material was also analyzed. It reveals that the intergranular/intragranular microstructure and the resulted intergranular/transgranular fracture mode are the main causes for strengthening and toughening in the nanocomposite ceramic die material.

A new nano-composite ceramic tool and die material was prepared by vacuum hot pressing technique. The effect of hot pressing technology on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZrO2nano-composite ceramic tool and die material was investigated systemically, and the ceramic tool and die material with good mechanical properties was fabricated successfully. Results show that, the highest flexural strength, fracture toughness and hardness of ZrO2nano-composite ceramic tool and die material reaches 1055 MPa, 10.57 MPa∙m1/2 and 13.59 GPa, respectively by means of the vacuum hot pressing technique at 1430 °C for 60min at 35MPa. The flexural strength and fracture toughness has been improved greatly by the optimization of hot pressing technology. In the materials, the optimum sinter process could ensure the t-ZrO2stabilized till room temperature that can enhance the toughening effect of ZrO2. The microstructure of ZrO2nano-composite ceramic tool and die materials were improved by the optimization of hot pressing technology, and the fracture mode is the typical mixed trans/inter-granular fracture mode.

Ti(C, N) based ceramic tool materials in the Ti (C0.7N0.3)-(Ni-Co)-Cr3C2-VC system have been made by hot-pressing technology, their mechanical properties and fracture morphologies have been studied under three different fabrication conditions. The results show that the mechanical properties are significantly influenced by fabrication conditions, and the main fracture mode is intergranular fracture.
