Every software application has its own minimum set of requirements like CPU, storage, memory, networking, and power. These have to be integrated into a specific configuration to allow the smooth functioning of the software application. When data traffic becomes higher than expected, higher resources are required. There may not be enough time to provision new resources manually; in such cases, an auto-scaling system is required for managing these situations. Cloud computing means using data, programs, and other resources pooled in the data center and accessed through the internet instead of the user's computer. In the chapter, the authors discussed some aspects related to cloud computing like cloud workload, load balancing, load balancing algorithms, scaling techniques, and auto-scaling to fulfill cloud workload balancing requirements.

Cloud computing is the cutting edge technology in the information field to provide services to the users over the internet through web–based tools and applications. One of the major aspects of cloud computing is load balancing. Challenges like Quality of service (QoS) metrics and resource utilization can be improved by balancing the load in cloud environment. Specific scheduling criteria can be applied using load balancing for users prioritization. This paper surveys different load balancing algorithms. The approaches that are existing are discussed and analyzed to provide fair load balancing and also a comparative analysis was presented for the performance of the existing different load balancing schemes.

Cloud computing is becoming more popular, unlike conventional computing, due to its added advantages. This is because it offers utility-based services to its subscribers upon their demand. Furthermore, this computing environment provides IT services to its users where they pay for every use. However, the increasing number of tasks requires virtual machines for them to be accomplished quickly. Load balancing a critical concern in cloud computing due to the massive increase in users' numbers. This paper proposes the best heuristic load balancing algorithm that will schedule a strategy for resource allocation that will minimize make span (completion time) in any technology that involves use cloud computing. The proposed algorithm performs better than other load balancing algorithms.

Cloud computing is a computing tool for humankind. In recent years, it is using to generate IT services, appliances for higher activities computing and outsourcing in a cost-efficient and flexible way. In modern times, a variety of types of bandwidth eater are growing speedily Cloud computing is growing phenomenal gradually to supply the different kinds of cloud services and applications to the internet-based customer. Cloud computing utilizes Internet applications to execute the large-scale jobs. The most important objective of cloud computing is to allocate and calculate different services transparently throughout a scalable network of machines. Load balancing is one of the significant issues in Cloud Computing. Loads should be divided as CPU load, the capacity of memory and system load which is the measurement of work that a computation system performs. Load balancing is a modern method where the load is being shared amongst several machines of a distributed system to enhance the utilization of various applications and response time of multiple tasks and prevent overloading situation and under loading situation. In or approach, we developed an algorithm, LBMMS, which combines all least completion time. For this study, LBMMS presents the proficient deployment of various resources in cloud computing

The Internet and emerging technologies are facilitating the creation of new marketplaces designed to address a diverse range of business and societal needs. As companies are utilizing technology to manage their business processes, such a marketplace has emerged that is designed to provide third-party availability of business services delivered via Web services technology, particularly in the context of Cloud Computing. The Web Services Marketplace creates a common trading ground wherein buyers and sellers of business services can come together within a centralized marketplace. However, sellers of business services must provide a mechanism by which knowledge and awareness of the service is created for the buyer and a means by which sellers can effectively compete in the marketplace. The most widely accepted method for accomplishing these tasks is advertising. This study investigates the nascent phenomenon of the advertising of business services within the Web services marketplace, develops a theoretically grounded definition and characteristics of business services offered in the Web Services Marketplace, and develops a model for the effective advertisement of business services offered in the Web Services Marketplace.

This article describes how cloud computing utilizes the benefits of web engineering and its applications by improving the performance and reducing the load on cloud providers. As the cloud is one of the emerging technology in the field of computing, it is used to provide various services to the user through the internet. One of the major concerns in cloud computing is accessibility of cloud. For estimating the availability of cloud, various load balancing algorithms are deployed in data centers of the cloud environment. Load balancing is a technique that distributes a signal load across various computers for optimizing resource usage, reducing response time, etc. There are different load balancing algorithms, for performing the load distribution across various centers. This article analyses different load balancing algorithms and develop a new algorithm for efficient load balancing. The proposed load balancing algorithm utilizes the concepts of web engineering to prioritize the request of end user using parsing technique, which will assign the resources to the end users based on the priority set by the data centers.
