There are a rapidly growing number of scientific studies analyzing the role of university and higher educational institutions in regional economic development. In this study, the author reviews the rapidly growing body of research streaming out of the geography of innovation and knowledge with particular attention to the period from 1994 to 2019. The author discusses several seminal contributions on the role of universities in regional economic development and then applies a systematic literature review to the extant research of 193 articles. This literature review offers a conceptual framework by identifying four key topics found in the literature: organizational capacity, intermediaries, knowledge dynamics, and policy.

<p class="Abstract"><em></em><em>Eco-efficiency is suitable to be applied on </em><em>batik production</em><em> cluster</em><em>,</em><em> because it can </em><em>synergize</em><em> economic and environmental aspects. Application of eco-efficiency will lead to competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and quality of life better. Batik Laweyan cluster is a cluster that not only has great potential in regional economic development but also potentially pollute the environment. Application of eco-efficiency in an industrial cluster can be seen from the value chain that occurs. Eco-efficiency also cannot be applied without the aid of relevant stakeholders and cluster activities such as collective efficiency.</em></p>

Techno-Entrepreneurship referred by many as ‘Technology Entrepreneurship' usually denotes a vehicle or means to facilitate prosperity in individuals, firms, regions, and nations. The study of techno-entrepreneurship therefore, serves an important function beyond satisfying intellectual curiosity. Techno-entrepreneurship lies at the heart of many important debates, including those around launching and growing firms, regional economic development, selecting the appropriate stakeholders to take ideas to markets, and educating managers, engineers, and scientists. Through in depth literature review, analysis of secondary data, and keen observation the purpose of this paper is to understand the genesis of techno-entrepreneurship, distinctiveness of techno-entrepreneurship, provide a holistic definition and attempt to identify aspects relative to economics, entrepreneurship, and management.

Based on the principle of coupled cooperation, the article identifies indicators from the perspective of industrial clusters, uses the principal component analysis to extract the effective coupling indicators of military-and-civilian integration industry and regional economic development and builds a model for the coupling coordination between the two. Taking the aerospace manufacturing industry in Shaanxi Province as an example, the article finds that the coupling degree between the aerospace manufacturing industry in Shaanxi Province and the regional economy has been increasing year by year, gradually shifting from disordered development to orderly evolution. Finally, based on empirical conclusions, relevant recommendations are given.
