Abstract Background Studies have shown that liver fluke infections may be associated with kidney injury and that Helicobacter pylori (Hp) may be involved in the pathogenesis of kidney diseases. However, no studies have reported the relationship between co-infection with Clonorchis sinensis (Cs) and Hp and renal function. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between co-infection with Cs and Hp and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in a general population, and gender-related differences were also investigated. Methods In the cross-sectional study, 4122 subjects from the Health Examination Center of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2017 to December 2018 were enrolled. All participants underwent stool examination for the diagnosis of Cs infection and 13C-urea breath test (UBT) for the diagnosis of Hp infection. Participants were categorized into four groups: (1) co-infection with Cs and Hp group comprising 207 cases (Hp(+) + Cs(+) group), (2) Cs infection group comprising 1392 cases (Hp(−) + Cs(+)group), (3) Hp infection group comprising 275 cases (Hp(+) + Cs(−) group), and (4) non-infection group comprising 2248 cases (Hp(−) + Cs(−) group). Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to evaluate the relationship between co-infection with Cs and Hp and eGFR. Results Hp infection without Cs infection was present in 6.67% (275/4122) of subjects, while Cs infection without Hp infection was present in 33.77% (1392/4122) of subjects. Co-infection with Hp and Cs were present in 5.02% (207/4122) of subjects. Median age of the participants was 43 years (IQR 35–51). Most of the participants were male (2955/4122, 71.69%). Median eGFR was 96.61 ml/min/1.73 m2 (IQR 85.05–106.24). Co-infection with Cs and Hp was negatively associated with eGFR after full adjusting (β = − 1.89, 95% CI: − 3.33 to − 0.45, p = 0.01). The relationship remained significant in females (β = − 9.37, 95% CI: − 11.60 to − 7.1, p < 0.001), but not in males. Conclusion Our findings suggest that co-infection with Cs and Hp may be associated with reduced renal function in females, but not in males.

Background. The most common cause of chronic gastritis is infection with Helicobacter pylori. Identifying the relationship between intensities of colonization and activity of gastritis helps the clinician in more effective treatment and posttreatment follow-ups. Methods. In this cross-sectional study, endoscopic gastric biopsy samples of 544 patients who complained symptoms of dyspepsia for more than three months referring to the laboratory were studied. To determine the colonization rate of H. pylori and other pathological findings, Giemsa and H&E stains were, respectively, used. Results. Among 544 subjects, 47 (8.64%) patients had no gastritis, 203 (37.32%) had mild gastritis, 278 (10.51%) suffered moderate gastritis, and 16 (2.94%) had severe gastritis. In this study, patients with mild H. pylori colonization rates had the highest level of mild activity (33.52%); in contrast, those with severe H. pylori colonization had the highest level of severe activity (43.75%). 93.96% of people with severe H. pylori colonization suffered from moderate and severe chronic gastritis. There is a significant statistical relationship between the intensity of H. pylori colonization and histopathological findings including intestinal metaplasia, atrophy, and lymphoid follicle formation. Conclusions. According to the present study, with increasing intensity of H. pylori colonization, chronicity and activity of gastritis and its complications increase.

Abstract BackgroundRecently, an increasing number of studies have focused on the extra-gastrointestinal effects of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) , including metabolic syndrome, fatty liver, and rheumatic and skin diseases. Osteoporosis is an asymptomatic disease that can eventually lead to fractures and has a significant impact on the quality of life of elderly individuals. Sex is an influential factor that plays a crucial role in the development of osteoporosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between H. pylori infection and osteoporosis and to identify potential influencing factors.MethodsWe conducted a cross-sectional study of individuals older than 50 years old, who had undergone regular physical examinations at the Beijing Shijitan Hospital Health Examination Center from July to October 2018 . We evaluated the associations of osteopenia and osteoporosis with H. pylori infection and related serum markers by using multiple linear regression and logistic regression. Then, we analysed the correlation between sex and potential serum biomarkers.ResultsThere were significant relationships between H. pylori infection status and bone density in premenopausal females but not in males ( P =0.381) according to Fisher's exact test. In females , H. pylori positivity (OR=0.132, P =0.023), Body Mass Index( BMI ) (OR=28.163, P =0.021), and homocysteine (HCY) (OR=17.218, P =0.045) were associated with osteoporosis. Calcium had a trend but no statistically significant (OR=0.060, P=0.076) relationship with osteoporosis. Furthermore, the waist -to- hip ratio (OR=5.783, P =0.029), BMI (OR=0.152, P =0.014) and triglyceride levels (OR=0.201, P =0.036) were significantly different by sex, after adjusting for age as a confounder.ConclusionH. pylori positivity , BMI and HCY are associated with osteoporosis in premenopausal females . Chronic inflammation may be involved in the relationship between H. pylori and osteoporosis.

Objectives: To study the relationship between serum estradiol and physical disorders after hysterectomy. Methods: A descriptive cross sectional study on 151 women after total hysterectomy from 12/2008 to 11/2010 at Hue Cental Hospial. Results: Serious disorders in total hysterectomy group include: physical disorders (34.78%), maternal disorders (71.74%), sexual disorders (58.70%). There were significant differences these disorders between total hysterectomy group and hysterectomy with/without accessiory remove group, as well as menopause group. Conclusion: Serum estradiol levels was inversely correlated with physical disorders, martenal disorders, sexual disorders and other disorders. Key words: hysterectomy, serum estradiol

ABSTRACT   The study aims todetermine the relationship between parenting style and the level of independence of Personal Hygiene Hand Wasting and Tooth Brush in Preschoolers in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora in 2019. The study is a quantitative study, based on the research location including the type of field reseaerch, based on the ansence of the treatment of subjects including survey research, based on time is a cross sectional study, and based on objectives includin correlation analytics. The population in this study were all parents in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora as many as 85 respondents. Based on the sample calculation, the sample obtained in this study that most parent in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora amounted to 70 respondents. Srearmen’s rho test analysis results parenting parents with the level of independence of personal hygiene hand wasting result obtained p value = 0,000 < α (0,05), and parenting patters with the independence of personal hygiene tooth brush obtained results p value = 0,000 < α (0,05). So it can be concluded that were is a significant relationship between parenting parents with the level of independence of personal hygiene washing hands and brushing their tooth at preschoolers in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora in 2019. Keywords: parenting; personal hygiene, preschool ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Pola Asuh Orangtua Terhadap Tingkat Kemandirian Personal Hygiene Cuci Tangan dan Gogok Gigi pada Anak Prasekolah di TK Negeri Pembina Blora Tahun 2019.
