Abstract Since the turn of the century there has been an increase in the use of translanguaging in multilingual learning contexts. Many researchers have shown how translanguaging enhances multilingual students’ ability to understand academic content. This experimental study provides empirical evidence that translanguaging can enhance reading comprehension. An experimental group and a control group were used to establish whether there was a significant difference between the performances of the two groups after reading an academic text. Using the t-test analysis, the results show a significant difference in the performance of the control group and the experimental group. These findings prompt us to conclude that translanguaging is an effective strategy that enhances reading comprehension.

Covid-19 struck the Indonesian banking industry in particular ASEAN, through the weaker economic growth, which resulted in a slowdown in credit growth and eventually reduce profitability. This study aimed to analyze the financial performance of banks before and after the occurrence of a covid-19 pandemic and formulate alternative strategies to improve the financial performance of Indonesian banks. The study sample consisted of four banks with saturated sampling method (census) are owned banks (State Bank) listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia. The data in this research is secondary data obtained from the bank's annual report period 2019 until the second quarter of 2020 which is accessed via the IDX website. Performance is measured using the six financial ratios namely ROA, BOPO, NPL, NIM, CAR and LDR with different test analysis method (Paired T-Test). The study found that in the form of financial ratios ROA, BOPO, CAR and LDR pre and post Covid-19 pandemics have significantly different values, while the NPL and NIM did not differ significantly.

Non-communicable disease (NCD) screening training aims to provide skills in determining a person's health condition based on body mass index (BMI) and simple blood tests. Health cadres who have been equipped with the skills to determine BMI and simple blood tests can then detect NCD in the community independently. Nutrition training aims to provide skills in calculating nutritional adequacy from a daily menu. Educational videos on simple blood tests were made to replace hands-on training due to limitations of the covid19 protocol. Before and after training, pre and posttest were carried out. The training was attended by 15 health cadres in Gamping Kidul Village, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The average score before training was 67.14, increasing to 73.57 thereafter. Paired T-test analysis showed no significant difference in pre and posttest scores (p = 0.076). After receiving the training, it is hoped that health cadres can carry out screening independently around their respective homes, so that early detection of NCD in the community can take place, then prevention can be carried out so that it does not become a fatal complication. It was concluded that the training could improve health cadres' understanding of PTM screening, prevention and calculating a balanced nutritious diet but not significant.

Abstract Groundwater conditions (GWCs) of an area depends on aquifer hydraulic parameters such as storativity () or storage coefficient (), transmissivity () and hydraulic conductivity (). It plays a key role concerning- groundwater flow modeling, well performance, solute and contaminants transports assessment and also for identification of areas for additional hydrologic testing. Specifically, the geologic formation of a regions control the porosity and permeability, however, in hilly terrain prospecting ground water potential is more challenging due to its limited extent and its occurrences that are usually confined to fractures and weathered rocks. The present study, aims at estimating the hydraulic parameters through pumping test analysis to assess aquifer system formation on hilly terrain from 16 bore wells. The aforesaid parameters were examined through a case study in some selective regions of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The study area is controlled under two main geological horizons that is the post-tertiary and tertiary. The papers end with comparative results of hydraulic parameters and the aquifers system formation on different GWCs which may be helpful in the outlook of sustainable groundwater resource in the regions.

Abstract Objectives. The study aims to reveal the trend of mammogram uptake in seventeen rural counties in Illinois to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is influencing breast cancer screening in the area.Methods. Aggregated data on mammography screening for west central Illinois was provided by the Illinois Hospital Association. Data for 2018 and 2019 was used to determine the typical monthly and annual screenings for the two years before the onset of COVID-19. Then, the two years' data was compared to the 2020 data. The monthly mean values for the aggregated 2018 and 2019 data were generated as the base "year" to compare with the monthly value for 2020. Paired T-Test analysis was used to find if there were any statistically significant differences the years and between the base year and 2020.Results. January 2020 revealed an uptick to 2,921, which is more than the uptake for January 2018 (2700) and January 2019 (2488), and 13% greater than the mean value of 2,594 for the previous two years. This was followed by a gradual decrease in uptake in February 2020 by 4% compared to previous years at a mean of 2518 and a further decline in March (44%), with a drastic fall (98%) by April 2020 at 56 screening mammograms in all 17 counties. The lowest uptake in any three months occurred from March through May 2020. Compared to previous years, increase in uptake was noted across the region in 2020 June (8%) and July (4%) after the pandemic restrictions were relaxed. Overall, the total uptake in 2020 was 15% less than the average annual uptake for 2018-2019 with a deficit of 5,537. There was no statistically significant difference in mammogram uptake across the three years.Conclusion. The findings reveal that there was a significant reduction in uptake during the pandemic restriction period. However, increased uptake during the rest of the year effectively mitigated this reduction to such an extent that there was no statistically significant downturn compared to each of the previous two years. A rising trend in total annual uptake noted in preceding years could have continued without the COVID-19 event.

Linear Programming is a course under the scope of algebra that must be mastered by mathematics education students. The low ability to solve linear programming problems can affect student performance when they become a teacher. This study aims to analyze the need for developing learning videos in Linear Programming courses for students of the Mathematics Education Study Program. The method used is development research which consists of Preliminary Analysis, Product Prototype, and Assessment. The research subjects were 30 students in the 7th semester of mathematics education and had attended online Linear Programming lectures in the previous semester. Data were collected by conducting written tests, questionnaires, and interviews and analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results of the written test analysis showed that the students' ability to solve linear programming problems was low. Based on interviews, it is also known that students are not enough just to learn through modules and virtual meetings. Students tend to need learning videos/records to repeat explanations when studying the material independently. Therefore, there is a great need for learning videos that can optimize online learning of Linear Programming courses.

Mechanical errors seriously affect the transmission performance of mechanical structure, especially for high-precision mechanical structure. With the development of virtual simulation technology, the performance test of mechanical structure in virtual environment is gradually applied. Under the background, this paper takes the movable tooth reducer as the research object and puts forward a virtual performance test method by combing test errors with virtual simulation technology. The tooth profile errors of key components of the reducer are obtained by optical scanning, and the simulation test is carried out. Meanwhile, the accuracy of the simulation test is verified by the implementation of vibration test. The results show that both the simulated vibration acceleration and the experimental test vibration acceleration show a double-peak variation trend, and the frequency difference between the two peaks is less than 5%. Therefore, the simulation test method proposed in this paper can effectively evaluate the performance of mechanical structures.
