Parallel detection has greatly improved the elemental detection sensitivities attainable with EELS. An important element of this advance has been the development of differencing techniques which circumvent limitations imposed by the channel-to-channel gain variation of parallel detectors. The gain variation problem is particularly severe for detection of the subtle post-threshold structure comprising the EXELFS signal. Although correction techniques such as gain averaging or normalization can yield useful EXELFS signals, these are not ideal solutions. The former is a partial throwback to serial detection and the latter can only achieve partial correction because of detector cell inhomogeneities. We consider here the feasibility of using the difference method to efficiently and accurately measure the EXELFS signal. An important distinction between the edge-detection and EXELFS cases lies in the energy-space periodicities which comprise the two signals. Edge detection involves the near-edge structure and its well-defined, shortperiod (5-10 eV) oscillations. On the other hand, EXELFS has continuously changing long-period oscillations (∼10-100 eV).

AbstractWindow glazing plays an essential role to modulate indoor light and heat transmission, which is a prospect to save the energy cost in buildings. The latest photovoltachromic technology has been regarded as one of the most ideal solutions, however, to achieve full-frame size (100% active area) and high-contrast ratio (>30% variable in visible wavelength) for smart window applicability is still a challenge. Here we report a photovoltachromic device combining full-transparent perovskite photovoltaic and ion-gel based electrochromic components in a vertical tandem architecture without any intermediated electrode. Most importantly, by accurately adjusting the halide-exchanging period, this photovoltachromic module can realize a high pristine transmittance up to 76%. Moreover, it possesses excellent colour-rendering index to 96, wide contrast ratio (>30%) on average visible transmittance (400-780 nm), and a self-adaptable transmittance adjustment and control indoor brightness and temperature automatically depending on different solar irradiances.

The thermochemical properties of alloys were determined for the first time by calorimetry Bi—Eu system at a temperature of 1200 K in the range of 0 ≤ xBi ≤ 0,2 and 0,77 ≤ xBi ≤ 1,0. It is established that the minimum value of the enthalpy of mixing is equal to –61,7 ± 0,5 kJ / mol at xBi = 0,5. = –184,7 ± 16,7 kJ / mol, = = –206,9 ± 21,8 kJ / mol. The activities of the components were calculated according to the model of an of the ideal associated solution (IAR), using the thermochemical properties of the melts of the Bі—Eu. system. It has been established that the activities of the components show large negative deviations from ideal solutions. To predict the enthalpies of formation of LnBi compounds, the available literature data on these parameters are analyzed and the most reliable ones are presented as a dependence on ∆fH = f(ZLn). It is established that the enthalpies of formation LnBi change smoothly and monotonically with the exception of Bi—Eu and Bi—Yb systems. This is due to the large size factors for the last two systems. To combine all the enthalpy data of Ln—Bi intermetallic formation of Ln—Bi systems depending on the sequence number Ln, we need similar values for the Eu—Bi compound. But at present they are not known, so based on the above, it was assumed that the value of the minimum enthalpy of mixing will be close to the enthalpy of formation of this compound. This hypothesis is confirmed by data on the enthalpies formation of phase YbBi and equiatomic melts of binary of Yb—Bi system. To confirm the thermodynamic data, we compare the known melting temperatures of the formed intermediate phases, known from the diagrams state Bi—Ln system. The obtained dependences correlate with ∆fH = f(ZLn ) і ∆V = f(ZLn). This means that the predictions of thermochemical properties accurately reflect the nature of the considered melts of the Bi—Eu system. AbstractThe purpose of this study is extended the TOPSIS method based on interval-valued fuzzy set in decision analysis. After the introduction of TOPSIS method by Hwang and Yoon in 1981, this method has been extensively used in decision-making, rankings also in optimal choice. Due to this fact that uncertainty in decision-making and linguistic variables has been caused to develop some new approaches based on fuzzy-logic theory. Indeed, it is difficult to achieve the numerical measures of the relative importance of attributes and the effects of alternatives on the attributes in some cases. In this paper to reduce the estimation error due to any uncertainty, a method has been developed based on interval-valued fuzzy set. In the suggested TOPSIS method, we use Shannon entropy for weighting the criteria and apply the Euclid distance to calculate the separation measures of each alternative from the positive and negative ideal solutions to determine the relative closeness coefficients. According to the values of the closeness coefficients, the alternatives can be ranked and the most desirable one(s) can be selected in the decision-making process.

Every company has management providing wages or rewards to employees. This is because employees are one of the resources that are used as a driving force in advancing a company. Besides, many companies provide rewards to their employees with the aim of motivating employees to help more. There is management problem in PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital for determining the number of rewards obtained by employees because many variables are determined. Therefore, the need of management information system can facilitate the Management of the PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital in determining decision making for providing rewards. One method that is often used in implementing decision support systems is Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM), focusing TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference with Similarities to Ideal Solutions). By the implementation of the decision support system, PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital can carry out the selection process more efficiently. The test results by matching the employee data results at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital obtained 95.83% accuracy so that this system can help the PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in determining employee rewards.

Using Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solutions (TOPSIS) approach for the data from 2011 to 2015, the authors investigate the financial performance of 16 different financial institutions in Oman that include nine commercial banks, three specialized banks, two investment companies, and two finance companies. They find that the one investment company, Dhofar International Development and Investment Holding Co., was more efficient in 2015 and 2011. Moreover, Oman Housing Bank was more efficient in 2013 and 2014, while Ahli Bank was more efficient in the year 2012. In contrast, Bank Muscat that has the largest total assets was ranked number 16 for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. As a result of Spearman’s Rho (Rank-Order) Correlation, all ranked results are related to other years. If a bank is at placement in level, it can be affected by year before or year after. But Oman banks’ correlations shows that there are 2 different periods as effecting one year to the other.
