Abstract Background Attendance teaching is the predominant teaching method at universities but needs to be questioned in the context of digital transformation. This study establishes and evaluates a method to accomplish electronic learning to supplement traditional attendance courses. Materials and methods Surgery was transmitted in real-time conditions via an online live stream from the surgical theater. Visualization was transferred from a fully digital surgical microscope, an endoscope or an environmental camera in high definition quality. Students were able to participate at home from their personal computer. After following the surgery, they participated in an online-evaluation. Results A total of 65 students participated in the live stream. The majority of students (61.54%) indicated a significant subjective increase in knowledge after participation. The majority of students (53.85%) indicated that live surgeries should be offered as a permanent component in addition to classroom teaching. Likewise, a broader offer was desired by many students (63.08%). Conclusions Live streaming of surgery is a promising approach as an alternative or supplement to traditional attendance teaching. An expansion of digital teaching can be explicitly supported on the basis of this study.

"Web Design and Production" is a strong practical computer science foundation course. The concept, ideas and techniques of web front-end development have an important impact on the follow-up courses. The paper compares and analyzes the reform in current teaching methods of the course, and proposes a project-driven flipping classroom teaching method, which rationally decomposes and reorganizes the curriculum knowledge system, and divides the curriculum content into several modules. Meanwhile, each module is driven by a project, mixing problem-based teaching methods, task-driven methods and flipping classroom teaching methods. The paper clarifies pre-class, in-class, and after-school tasks. Knowing the project tasks before class, understanding the knowledge and skills needed for the design project, using the micro-curriculum resources to learn and practice knowledge autonomously; detecting the learning effect of knowledge in the class, solving the problems in the self-learning, and apply the learned knowledge to the actual project development by the way of group collaboration in order to promote internalization and application of knowledge, when encountering new problems, teachers not only explain new knowledge to help students continue to implement the project, but also promptly recorded the completion of the project of the group collaboration; After class, teachers summarize questions, build a knowledge system, and guide students to complete extended design of project. In this way, students' practical application ability, project development ability, self-learning ability and creative ability can be improved. This article also provides specific instructional design cases based on the  "Web Page Layout and Beautification" module and provides specific teaching design cases.

Abstract: Taking the teaching of <novel research in the new era> as an example, this paper discusses the teaching problems of Chinese contemporary literature classics in the context of cultural self-confidence in the new era. In the course of teaching, we try to penetrate cultural factors into the analysis of literary works. This kind of classroom teaching method, from the human love of literature to the philosophical level of literature, and then to the aesthetic level of literature, goes deep layer by layer. In this way, cultural education has been brought into the scope of classroom teaching, which is of great significance to cultivate the cultural self-confidence of college students.
