A review of the status of some Ptinomorphus species (Coleoptera: Ptinidae, Eucradinae) described by M. Pic, with the description of a new species

The Western Palaearctic species of Ptinomorphus Mulsant & Rey, 1868 (Coleoptera: Ptinidae, Eucradinae) described by M. Pic and synonymized under P.imperialis (Linnaeus, 1767) and P. magnificus (Reitter, 1880) are reviewed. A new species P. janae sp. nov. is described. P. tauricolus (Pic, 1906) and P. caucasicus (Pic, 1901) are removed from synonymy with P. magnificus; the status of P. perpulchrus (Obenberger, 1917) is clarified and P. angustior (Pic, 1896) is reinstated as a full species. P. angustior var. maculatus (Pic, 1922), which is currently treated as a synonym of P. imperialis is synonymised with P. magnificus. A key is provided to the Western Palaearctic species of Ptinomorphus.

A new species, Temelucha flavia sp. n., of the ichneumon wasp subfamily Cremastinae is described from Tunisia and Jordan. An affix to the recently published identification key to the Western Palaearctic species of the genus is given.

Colpopyga Semenov, 1954, a chrysidid genus of the tribe Elampini (Chrysididae: Chrysidinae) with four Palaearctic and one Nearctic species, is reviewed. The study of internal urites (Noskiewicz & Lorencova, 1963) and new molecular data (Niehuis, pers. comm.) show a generic status of Colpopyga, which is more related to the genus Holopyga Dahlbom, 1854. A new species, Colpopyga nesterovi sp. nov. from Kazakhstan, is described and illustrated; it is easily recognizable by the red-coppery body coloration and shallow, small and sparse punctures. The status of the subspecies Hedychridium flavipes temperatum Linsenmaier, 1959 is updated to species level in the genus Colpopyga (comb. nov.). New generic combinations are also proposed for C. aureiventris (Mercet, 1904), comb. nov. and C. crassa (Bohart, 1978), comb. nov. (all from the genus Hedychridium). The lectotype of Hedychridium flavipes var. cyanomaculatum Trautmann, 1927 is designated.

The status of the genus Neorthostigma Belokobylskij, 1998 is re-established as a result of additional morphological studies. A new species, N. braetisp. nov., from Papua New Guinea is described and illustrated. Aspilota brachyclypeataFischer 1978 is transferred to Neorthostigma, hence N. brachyclypeata (Fischer, 1978), comb. nov. A new synonym is suggested, Aspilota macrops Stelfox & Graham, 1951 = Neorthostigma eoum Belokobylskij, 1998, syn. nov.; A. macrops is transferred to Neorthostigma. This genus is additionally recorded in the Western Palaearctic (Norway) and Australasian (Papua New Guinea) regions for the first time. A key for the determination of the three known species of Neorthostigma is provided.

During our studies on the Diptera fauna of the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forest, Golestan province, Iran, a new species of the genus Clistoabdominalis (Pipunculidae) was identified. In the present paper we name, describe and illustrate Clistoabdominalis hyrcania sp. nov.. An identification key to the males of the Clistoabdominalis ruralis species group from the Western Palaearctic region is provided.

The genus Nola was established with the western Palaearctic species Noctua cucullatella (Linnaeus, 1758) described from Austria as its type species. Nola occurs in all continents except the Antarctica and contains more than 200 valid Eurasian and North African taxa (László et al., 2014). The genus Nola can be easily distinguished from other genera of Nolinae with the distinctive features as the degenerate uncus, the divided valva with the ventral valval lobe bearing the harpe and a curved carina process in male genitalia. In our recent survey, we report a new species Nola senmuzhaensis sp. nov. and a new record of Nola sikkima (Moore, 1888) from Tibet, China. Adults and genitalia are illustrated. The type specimens are deposited in Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST).

Neoxorides Clément, 1938 is a small genus of ichneumonid wasps that develop on wood-boring beetles. We here revise the Western Palaearctic species of the genus, with a special focus on Sweden. A new species, N. striatus Johansson sp. nov. is described. Neoxorides opacus (Kokujev, 1903) stat. rev. is excluded from the synonymy with N. nitens (Gravenhorst, 1829) and reinstated as a valid species. The species is redescribed from European material. Neoxorides kissi (Ulbricht, 1911) is confirmed as a junior synonym of N. opacus. A neotype for N. opacus is designated. New characters to distinguish N. varipes (Holmgren, 1860), N. collaris (Gravenhorst, 1829) and N. montanus Oehlke, 1966 are presented. Almost all of the species treated are supported by DNA-barcoding. An illustrated key to the species occurring in the Western Palaearctic is provided, a prerequisite for making the genus accessible for future ecological and conservation studies.

A new species, Sarcophaga (Pandelleisca) mersinensissp. nov. is described from the Mediterranean region of Turkey. The male terminalia are documented with line drawings, photographs and scanning electron microscope images. The species is compared with the two most similar species, Sarcophaga (Pandelleisca) baudeti (Lehrer) and Sarcophaga (Pandelleisca) theodori (Lehrer), both known from Israel. A key is provided to the western Palaearctic species of Pandelleisca Rohdendorf.
