The work studies vulcanization characteristics of elastomers based on isoprene rubber filled with carbon black N330 and boron nitride (BN). The influence of the boron nitride (BN) concentration on technological, dynamic, physical and mechanical properties of elastomers has been researched. The application of boron nitride for producing rubber with good properties has been considered. With a gradual increase of the inert filler BN concentration up to 35%, a decrease in the curing rate by 33% and polymer cross-link density by 26% is observed. Moreover, the start time of vulcanization increases by almost 300%, the optimal curing time by 200%.

In this study, coating equipment for the effective underwater repair of submerged structures was developed. The tensile bond characteristics of selected epoxy resin coatings were investigated by coating the surface of a specimen using each of the four types of equipment. Using the experimental results, the tensile bond strength and the coating thickness were analyzed according to the type of equipment, coating, and curing time. The results show that the type of coating equipment used had the greatest effect on the measured bond strength and coating thickness of the selected coatings. However, the effect of coating type and curing time on the bond strength and the thickness was observed to be insignificant. Compared with the developed equipment, the surface treatment of the coating was observed to be more effective when using the pre-existing equipment, and thus the bond performance of the coating was improved compared to using the pre-existing equipment. Based on the experimental results, improvements and needs involving the equipment for further research were discussed.

Silver-based high-conductivity coatings are used in many advanced manufacturing equipment and components, and existing coatings require high-temperature curing. This paper studies the effects of different curing agents on the electrical properties of low-temperature curing (<100 °C) conductive coatings, and analyzes the effects of different curing temperatures and curing time on the surface resistance, square resistance and resistivity of conductive coatings. The response surface method in Design Expert was used to construct the model, and the curing thermodynamics of different curing agents were analyzed by DSC. It was found that curing agents with lower Tm and activation energy, higher pre-exponential factor and more flexible segments are beneficial to the preparation of highly conductive coatings.
