Seiring dengan kenaikan produksi CPO (Crude Palm Oil) setiap tahunnya, maka menyebabkan peningkatan luas areal kebun kelapa sawit. Di Indonesia luas lahan marginal masih sangat banyak. Kompos kulit kakao dan kulit pisang kepok merupakan sumber bahan organik yang dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah dan tanaman. Oleh karena itu diperlukan perbaikan tanah dipembibitan kelapa sawit dengan meningkatan ketersediaan unsur hara dan sifat kimia tanah, melalui pemberian atau penambahan pupuk organik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kompos kulit kakao, kompos kulit pisang serta interaksi perlakuan antara kompos kulit pisang dan kulit kakao terhadap perbaikan sifat fisik, dan kimia tanah di pembibitan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di areal pembibitan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan Medan mulai bulan Januari - Agustus 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompos kulit pisang kepok berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter kadar air dengan nilai terbaik adalah 24,77 yang terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (450 g/tanaman). Dan parameter kemasaman tanah (pH) dengan nilai terbaik adalah 5,68 yang terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (450 g/tanaman). Kompos kulit kakao menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter kadar air dengan nilai terbaik adalah 24,35 % yang terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (600 g/tanaman). Dan parameter kemasaman tanah (pH) dengan nilai terbaik adalah 5,75 yang terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (600 g/tanaman). Interaksi antara perlakuan kompos kulit kakao dan kompos kulit pisang juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter N-total dengan nilai terbaik adalah 0,13 yang terdapat pada perlakuan K1P2 (400 g kompos kulit kakao dan 350 g kompos kulit pisang).

Oil palm is one of the most important plantation crops in the plantation sector in Indonesia. Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is a vegetable oil-producing plant in the form of Crude Palm Oil (CPO). CPO productivity is very much determined by quality and productive seeds. Oil palm (Elaeis guineenses Jacq) is a vegetable oil-producing plant which produce Crude Palm Oil (CPO). This study aims to determine the response of oil palm seedling growth to the provision of solid food containers and phosphate fertilizers at various doses in the main nursery. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, Mendalo Indah, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This research was conducted for 3 months from September to December 2019. Design of the experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with one factor, the application of various solid decanter compositions consisting of 6 treatments levels : p0= fertilizer NPKMg 44g/polybag; p1=decanter solid 140 g + 13 g (TSP) / polybag; p2=decanter solid 240 g + 13 g (TSP) / polybag; p3 = decanter solid 340 g + 13 g (TSP)/polybag; p4 = decanter solid 440 g + 13 g (TSP)/polybag; and p5 = decanter solid 540 g + 13 g (TSP) / polybag. Variables observed were  plant height,  number of leaves, stem diameter, total leaf area, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, and root shoot ratio. The results showed that giving solid decanter at various doses was able to increase growth  in all observed variables and was able to sow seedling growth at recommended fertilization doses. The application of solid decanter 140 g + 13 g (TSP) is the best dose to increase the seed height variable and able to exceed the  seed height at the recommended dose of fertilizing oil palm seedlings in the main nursery.

El objetivo de este estudio fue realizar un análisis comparativo de las características físicas y químicas de racimos de genotipos de Elaeis oleifera y de sus híbridos interespecíficos OxG con Elaeis guineensis, determinando los componentes y el potencial del aceite del racimo, y la calidad de los aceites, analizando el contenido de ácidos grasos, vitamina E y carotenos. En el estudio se utilizaron racimos provenientes de inflorescencias sin polinización asistida con la presencia perimetral de E. guineensis. Se utilizó un diseño experimental completamente al azar con tres unidades experimentales, cada una conformada por tres racimos. Los mayores cuajados del fruto se encontraron en el genotipo de E. oleifera Sinú (76,53 %) y el híbrido OxG II (72,64 %). Los potenciales de extracción de aceite fueron superiores en los materiales híbridos OxG destacándose el II (20,82 %). Las palmas E. oleifera presentaron mejores perfiles de ácidos grasos, destacándose los materiales del genotipo Sinú (79,1 % de ácidos grasos insaturados) y los del híbrido II (70,2 %). Para el contenido de vitamina E se confirmó la alta calidad del aceite de los materiales de E. oleifera, sobresaliendo el genotipo Coarí (1.006,7 ppm) y el híbrido II (1.549,6 ppm); el material del genotipo Sinú registró el mayor contenido de carotenos totales (1.524,7 ppm).
