Abstract The major goal of the present study is to highlight to tight connection and interdependency between language and culture from both theoretical and applied perspectives, with special focus on the reciprocal influence and impact on teaching Chinese language and literature to foreign students, particularly in the European context. Famous scholars have wisely noted the sine-quanon relation of society, culture, history, geography and language evinced in the process of communication, at large, and most notably in translation, literary studies and language learning, which are complex processes requiring a thorough and conscious immersion in the context of the language. The paper also includes a case study on teaching Chinese language and culture to foreign students.

The interesting finding of this research is the model of teaching Arabic for foreign student developed by   Malik Sauud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the past, the teaching Arabic for foreign student or non-native in Arab mostly used direct method, while in this research it is found out that there are five important things in teaching Arabic language. The first, the Arabic language teaching   needs specific dormitory for the foreign students so that all of the program can be applied exclusively. Second, the direct method , is still applied completed with communicative approach and various strategies. Third, the use of multi-media is considered important eventough the tutors are native speaker. This also shows that   teacher-centered has shifted into student-centered sothat teachers take role as facilitator. Fourth, the materials presented are suited with Arabic culture and the culture of students’ origin. Fifth, the phase of evaluation is considered most important to measure the success of learning Arabic language. The shift of language learning model  of Arabic language in Arab country as applied in   Malik Sauud University, Riyadh, Arab Saudi can be a new trend in developing Arabic language and culture  teaching learning.<br />Keywords: Ta’liim, Jami’ah Al-Malik Sauud<br /><br />

This research aimed at investigating Indonesian students’ mastery of Chinese adverbs zai (再) and cai (才). Modern Chinese adverbs were a difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The time adverb of modern Chinese, zai (再) and cai (才), was an adverbial adverb easily misused by Indonesian students because these two adverbs had the same counterpart in Indonesian language. This research conducted a questionnaire survey among 83 Indonesian students in China. The questionnaire was a test about the use of time adverbs zai (再) and cai (才). The sentences that test 10 questions all came from the BCC corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University. After investigation, it is found that Indonesian students’ errors are more obvious. The researcher hopes that it can supplement the research achievements of Indonesian students in learning Chinese adverbs, and arouse more scholars to study the characteristics of learning Chinese adverbs for Indonesian students and promote the development of Chinese language teaching in Indonesia.

The article is devoted to the alternative forms of teaching Chinese to young schoolchildren. The work deals with extraordinary approaches to teaching subjects, the principles of interaction between the teacher and the pupil during the lesson. The purpose of the article is to describe several forms of training that can be used in foreign language learning. Much attention is given to the cultural intercourse during the lessons in the Chinese language and extracurricular courses. In conclusion, it is stressed that the attitude to teaching Chinese to young schoolchildren should be based on alternative forms. The work is of interest for narrow circle of readers and experts working in the given branch.

Therefore, how to effectively improve the Chinese language level of foreign students coming to China has become a problem that many teachers need to solve. The popularity of the Internet has influenced education profoundly. Teaching methods, teacher–student relationships, and the role of teachers have changed significantly due to changes in communication media. In the case of Chinese language learning, online classes have become a crucial tool to encourage and support international Chinese teaching. With the deepening of China's opening, exchanges between China and other countries are becoming increasingly profound. Against this backdrop, worldwide enthusiasm for learning Chinese has emerged, yet not every foreign learner of Chinese has had the opportunity to attend Chinese lessons and receive systemic training. To give more students the opportunity to study Chinese, online lessons are a viable option for various reasons, from acting as an effective channel for students to learn about both Chinese language and culture to offering classes of both short and long duration, and providing a range of different teaching styles and teaching methods depending on the needs of the students. This paper analyzes teachers and methods after observing many Chinese online teaching videos that have attracted a high “click rate” by users. Moreover, this paper focuses on analyzing MOOC and traditional online lessons published by the Confucius Institute and carries out a comparison between them and overseas online Chinese lessons. Finally, this paper evaluates online Chinese lessons and gives suggestions according to the 5C goals of language teaching.

Annotation: Culture is very important in teaching Chinese language. To know language really well, we must learn the culture that the given language is represent. Appropriate knowledge of Chinese culture is one the aspects of content of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Communicative competence, which should be developed when learning Chinese as a foreign language, is in fact the ability to intercultural communication. Foreign students in learning Chinese, as a rule, should know more about Chinese society and culture, also learn well professional cultural knowledge. Therefore, the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is inseparable from the teaching of Chineseculture, history and literature. 摘要从2020年四月份开始,印尼全国开始受到新冠疫情的影响各大高校也都开始策划线上课程以替代传统的教学模式,所以教育部门也绞尽脑汁开展“停课不停学”的计划。Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台是一种线上学习平台,具有游戏、讨论,测验、和调查功能。本研究将检查 Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台作为学生学习汉语成果以世界大学华文教育系为列。研究人员将根据世界大学华文教育系在继学生运用Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台的成果,并将这些测试平台运用在汉语课程的学习活动中。本研究的主要目的是使用Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台在教学的调查研究。通过Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台上使用观察、问卷调查和测验评估技术收集数据。研究结果表明,Quizizz & Kahoot 线上测试平台可以帮助教师了解学生的学习成果,除了通过测试平台上的自动评估获取评估结果以外,还可以了解这些线上测试平台适合哪一种类型的课程。关键词:Quizizz & Kahoot平台、汉语学习成果ABSTRACTStarting from April 2020, Indonesia has been affected by the covid-19 epidemic, colleges and universities have also begun to plan online courses as an alternative model. This study will examine the Quizizz & Kahoot online test platform as a student's achievement in Chinese language learning take the Faculty of Education, Language and Culture  of Universal University. Researchers will use the Quizizz & Kahoot online test platform based on the Faculty of Education, Language and Culture  of Universal University in the use of the Quizizz & Kahoot online test platform, and use this test platform in the learning activities of the Chinese language course. The main purpose of this research is to use the Quizizz & Kahoot online testing platform as an evaluation of the benefits of the learning outcomes of the students in the Faculty of Education, Language and Culture  of Universal University. Collect data through the use of observation, questionnaire survey, and test evaluation techniques on the Quizizz & Kahoot online test platform. The research results show that the Quizizz & Kahoot online test platform can help teachers getting know students' learning outcomes.
