Abstract The later Nietzsche developed the “magic of the extreme” as a special strategy in order to make his philosophical reorientations successful. He needed this strategy not only to be heard at all; also the problems he faced called for it. The article first gives an overview of the most important problems Nietzsche coped with and the extreme solutions he offered. Then, we show how, according to Nietzsche, even Socrates, who stands for the beginning of the European Enlightenment, used the “magic” of extreme irritation and fascination to get this Enlightenment on its way.

This study aims to examine the competence of Arabic teachers in teaching blind students. Learning for the visually impaired certainly requires special competencies for teachers so that students get like other students. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that several competencies must be possessed by Arabic language teachers, especially in teaching blind students, including preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation contained in the lesson plan, there is no lesson plan specifically intended for blind students, but in the implementation and evaluation of learning the teacher uses a special strategy in teaching blind students.

The development of the business world is increasingly rapid, so it needs a special strategy to increase the turnover of the company, in this case the retail company. In increasing the company's turnover can be done using the Data Mining process, one of which is using apriori algorithm. With a priori algorithm can be found association rules which can later be used as patterns of purchasing goods by consumers, this study uses a repository of 209 records consisting of 23 transactions and 164 attributes. From the results of this study, the goods with the name CREAM CUPID HEART COAT HANGER are the products most often purchased by consumers. By knowing the pattern of purchasing goods by consumers, the company management can increase the company's turnover by referring to the results of processing sales transaction data using a priori algorithm

Abstract The Mandarin bǎ-construction has been one of the most well studied subjects in Chinese grammar. Although the previous studies have achieved some exciting results, the exact nature of bǎ and the syntactic derivation of the bǎ-construction remain largely controversial. The current paper constitutes an attempt to clarify the two issues under the minimalist framework. In particular, while keeping in line with the little v analysis of bǎ proposed by Sybesma 1999; Lin 2001 among others, I argue that there is a Middle applicative projection (an affected applicative) between V and v; the bǎ-NP is formed by a movement of VP-internal arguments to Spec.ApplPmid, which can optionally be occupied by gěi, and it gets an accusative Case from bǎ in v. With this analysis, we can better account for the core syntactic and semantic properties of bǎ-constructions. Furthermore, I will show that the proposed applicative approach has some interesting consequences for Taiwanese ka-constructions, a near counterpart of Mandarin bǎ-constructions. Finally, I will compare bǎ-constructions to languages with differential object marking in arguing that Mandarin uses a special strategy – light verb marking to mark the specific/affected objects.

Child custody cases processed in the Religious Court often cause certain problems. Therefore, a special strategy is needed by the judge in resolving child custody cases. This paper describes the opportunities for implementing decisions immediately as one of the strategies that can be taken by judges in resolving child custody cases in the Religious Court. A decision immediately is a decision that can be immediately executed even if the opposing party submits legal action. Methodologically, this study uses normative legal research so that it applies a juridical normative approach. The research was conducted by adapting a literature study combined with interviews with Religious Court judges. The results of the study confirm that a decision immediately is one of the strategies that a judge can take if in a case it is feared that the losing party will make negative efforts that can harm the winning party. However, the most important consideration for the judge in this matter is for the best interest of the child and the realization of the benefit of society.

The use of plastics is increasing gradually, and its degradation is becoming a great threat for society. This chapter raises a question in front of us: Ultimately, how can we balance our needs and safety? Therefore, a term biodegradation is frequently used to explain the ability of microorganism to degrade the organic substance. The chapter would deliver the importance of biodegradation of plastic products, which is a rapidly growing field and offers a new dimension solution with novel properties in waste management areas. Microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, and actinomycetes have developed a special strategy in order to use such materials as energy and carbon source. Biodegradation is the most economic, eco-friendly, and acceptable method. But the detailed characterization of efficient plastic-degrading microbes and microbial enzymes still needs to be carried out. The chapter would also provide a better understanding related to the biodegradation of plastic products that enhances the horizon of knowledge.

AbstractSupported gold catalysts play a crucial role in the chemical industry; however, their poor on-stream stability because of the sintering of the gold nanoparticles restricts their practical application. The strong metal-support interaction (SMSI), an important concept in heterogeneous catalysis, may be applied to construct the structure of catalysts and, hence, improve their reactivity and stability. Here we report an ultrastable Au nanocatalyst after calcination at 800 °C, in which Au nanoparticles are encapsulated by a permeable TiOx thin layer induced by melamine under oxidative atmosphere. Owning to the formed TiOx overlayer, the resulting Au catalyst is resistant to sintering and exhibits excellent activity and stability for catalytic CO oxidation. Furthermore, this special strategy can be extended to colloidal Au nanoparticles supported on TiO2 and commercial gold catalyst denoted as RR2Ti, providing a universal way to engineer and develop highly stable supported Au catalysts with tunable activity.

We consider three simple mixture problems occurring in metallurgy. The first problem considered is the classic minimum cost mixture problem. For the second problem, we consider finding a correction to a given mixture, a premix, without considering the cost of this premix. We only consider the cost and the weight of the quantity used as a correction. We show that the minimum cost correction does not correspond to the minimum weight correction, and we built the Pareto curve that gives all intermediate solutions between these two extreme solutions. Finally, the third problem is the correction problem for a nonfree premix. The correction is done to obtain a minimum cost corrected mixture.
