Considering that the development of science and technology depends on metal support, the EU, USA, and China have issued a critical metal list on the development report. However, the scarce and important mineral deposits on a global scale will not be enough to meet the huge needs of economic development in the future. Many fields such as renewable energy, high-performance computing, and AI all require critical metals as essential supports. A proper price regulation of such important metals will contribute to the fair price power on the international market. In this paper, the pricing history and strategy of critical metal support are fully studied and discussed. Since China has become a major consumer country, China should gain fair price power in the market of important metals.

The focus of this short review is directed towards investigations of the dynamics of nanostructured metallic heterogeneous catalysts and the evolution of interfaces during reaction—namely, the metal–gas, metal–liquid, and metal–support interfaces. Indeed, it is of considerable interest to know how a metal catalyst surface responds to gas or liquid adsorption under reaction conditions, and how its structure and catalytic properties evolve as a function of its interaction with the support. This short review aims to offer the reader a birds-eye view of state-of-the-art methods that enable more realistic simulation of dynamical phenomena at nanostructured interfaces by exploiting resource-efficient methods and/or the development of computational hardware and software.

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have been attracting much attention as alternative energy conversion devices due to their high energy conversion efficiency and fuel flexibility. In current SOFCs, Ni-based Cermet anode, solid oxide electrolyte and ceramic cathode have been used. Since all components are ceramic-based materials, there is a problem in that mechanical strength and durability against thermal shock. In order to solve this problem, metal-supported solid oxide fuel cells have designed. Metal-supported solid oxide fuel cells provide significant advantages such as low materials cost, ruggedness, and tolerance to rapid thermal cycling and redox cycling. This paper review the types of metal supports used in metal-based solid oxide fuel cells and the advantages and disadvantages of each metal support.
