The study aimed to conduct a cost-value analysis of the production process of a newly introduced batch of external doors in the context of value-added creation and to identify redundant processes that do not create added value and for which appropriate corrective actions could contribute to their elimination. The result of applying improvement actions following the lean management concept was the optimization time nationalized analyzed by eliminating, among others, operations related to unnecessary transport and storage of products. In addition, the optimization production process impacted both shortening the process implementation time and reducing the costs of its implementation. Further activities will be related to the use of the presented methodology to analyze the processes implemented in the company in order to increase their efficiency.

The goal of this paper is to find suitable solutions for process optimization using PDCA methodology and quality management tools. It was realized in the company that is oriented on the assembly of key sets, locks and handles. It analyzes chosen assembly processes, their critical points and identifies root causes of problems that might occur during assembly. For this purpose, different quality methods and tools are used. In this paper there are also defined the corrective actions to avoid recurrence of identified problems, implementation of these actions in production process and its standardization.

To comprehensive utilize the large amount of solid wastes from the production process, Iron making plant gradually increases solid wastes proportion in blended material for sinter by a series of process improvement and equipment upgrading. These approaches optimize technology index of blended material and provide refined material for blast furnace. Thus it creates considerable economic and social benefits the environmental via economizing the resources and reducing the environmental burden.
